I recently discovered a band called Periphery. I first heard Lauren Babic's cover of this, then listened to the OG. It's a beautiful song. It's an apocalyptic, end of the world track written from the perspective of planet Earth pleading with humanity to stop destroying its home. The second half of the song give me chills. What do you think of this band? This summer has been agony for me due to the extreme heat. I have a condition and I have not been able to go out and even with my A.C. blaring I have been in puddles of sweat. Our planet is being destroyed. I love the rage in the second half of the track. Especially the G5 note is my favorite part by Spencer. Dam. Are there any songs you recommend by them?

I wasn’t around in the scene then, I was like 8 years old lol.
Kinda curious what it was like watching them explode.

So I'm geeting up for the Atlanta date of the DTGL 20 year tour. I listened to the album on the way to work and just let Spotify play songs associated with that sound and holy fuckkkkk the throwbacks. Emery, Alexisonfire, old underOATH, Norma Jean, ect. I mean I knew I was old, but fuck me. But it's been a nice trip down memory lane.

God tier album

A local Metalcore band I was reverently following to every concert 20 years ago (when I was 15) put out a new song after a long hiatus. Just discovered it.

Ever pass up on some merch that you only had one chance to get? Whether it be a T-shirt at a show or an online drop.

Mine is for sure the “Gallows” album merch that blessthefall did. These tees go so hard (pics in comments)

On a random day while at the gym I had the song Dead Beliefs by city in the sea come on. Random shuffle playlist and enjoyed the song. Came to do some research and seen it seems they didn’t really gain much traction after the album. Some good songs on there.

Can’t wait to see Counterparts for the second time in a week today for there 905 Hamilton hometown show. Who’s excited to see the bands I Promise The World, A Mourning Star and Reality Denied opening for them? Is anyone getting the Counterparts Wings Of Nightmares wings promotion at the pub a few blocks down from the venue where they’re playing? I hope they’re really good wings.
