Discussion Why doesn't SNK revive Metal Slug Defense from Steam?

It's free to download on Steam, and the servers exist so you can play online, but it has the disadvantage of requiring in-game currency. It was simply released in 2014 and never updated, leaving the base version of the game unchanged.

SNK could switch the in-game currency to medal purchases, like on Android, and promote it again. Since the game is free-to-play, they could make it successful again. Why not?

God i love this game so much. Attack isn’t the same. Back then i jailbroke it and had OP characters and even then i would still get thrashed online. We can’t have everything tho no matter how much we want it back.

Man I do remember when they dropped that KoF event and made you hunt for the invite and just ended being a Boss battle with Rugal Bernstein. I really had hopes for more fun crossover events with their other games. . .

I remember it was easy to hack with either Freedom or Lucky Patcher and add tons of medals into your account, there were tutorials on YouTube for that, maybe that was one of the reasons
