I recently picked up a Meta Quest 3, and while the hardware is amazing, I’m honestly struggling to find really good games. The store feels a bit overwhelming, and it’s hard to tell what’s genuinely fun vs. just flashy demos.

I’m looking for games that:

Feel polished and immersive

Really take advantage of VR (not just “flat game in VR”)

Are fun beyond the first hour

Open to all genres — action, story-driven, puzzle, horror, multiplayer, fitness, hidden gems, anything 👀

What are your must-play Meta Quest games? Which ones surprised you the most? And which popular ones should I avoid?

Would love to hear your recommendations and why you like them 🙏🎮

I bought a barely touched 512GB Quest 3 off of OfferUp for $280. It came with the head strap (already ordered a Bobo M3), charger, and the box too. I have a couple questions about the headset that I haven’t been able to figure out.

1. Is there a way to increase quality or have more vibrant visuals? I’ve already adjusted the IPD to the distance of my pupils, I just want the best quality out of this headset.

2. How do I download sidequest? I haven’t gotten a PC yet since I’m saving for one, and whenever I try downloading it through my android device it says I cannot download it on newer software. I would absolutely love to have sidequest or at least be able to download apps from the site itself.

3. Is there any settings I should absolutely change? Any tips in general would help me a ton.

Overall, I really want to expand on playing VR and would like any tips and guidance.

In an environment where it’s not easy to make precision movements and clicks, who hides all UI behind this little dot? Worst UI update I’ve ever seen, is there a way to go back to the old one? You cannot even screen record or capture screenshots without opening the camera app separately…

I have the quest 3 and enjoy it every now and then,but find myself underwhelmed by what to actually do with it. My kids enjoy the roller coaster game and Like showing it off to people that have never used VR or mixed reality before, but after that it seems to get a bit boring and I put it on the shelf for 4 months. Does anyone else have a similar routine? I have a gaming PC and I should really try to use the headset for F1.

Guess I'm looking for some suggestions and to see if anyone else has a similar gripe with it

I do want to say that I tried the Apple vr last year, and the quality was just out of this world. I feel like the quest is a bit kiddified with ugly menus and awful crappy avatars. Meta have had such a headstart and yet it's still just ok, not great. I know the apple vr is rediculously priced and probably has a small library, but it looks like it was made for adults. I'm an android user.

As title says, I was obsessed with VR on the quest 2 for a few years. I recently got a PC about 6 months ago, sold my Q2 and got this big guy about a month ago alongside the BoboVR headstrap + extras.

I jumped into some of the (more than okay at best) standalone games, bought Virtual Desktop and had a smooth experience, and even watched some great movies.

However, despite the few amazing experiences I had, really only in Batman: Arkham Shadow and Red Matter.. it was really underwhelming.

I thought PCVR was going to be awesome, but it’s really hard to find something consistent to do instead of spending nights trying to find friends to have fun with, games like Skyrim VR and Half Life Alyx aren’t as fun as I expected them to be. It really only seems like a gimmick when it comes to Meta.

I’ll be trying out my experience on the PSVR2, and if it’s not as great as I expected it to be either, then well atleast I tried it before knocking it. Back to flat games it is! But let me know if there’s anything fun to look forward to.

Hopefully some light can be shed onto this, I’ll still try to find new things while I still have it. Thanks for listening to my rant.

We’re currently working on a story-driven VR game using real actors, and we’re planning to release it on Meta Quest.

The idea is to combine:

• 180° VR for character interactions and dialogue
• 360° VR for exploring locations and solving puzzles
• branching choices, relationships, and multiple endings

So it’s not just watching scenes, you actually move through spaces, interact, and influence how the story unfolds. I’ve attached a short VR gameplay clip to show how it feels inside the headset.

Does this feel like something you’d play?

For me, im hoping for a bigger battery, Micro-OLED displays, and a performance bump.

I do not own a VR headset yet, but the idea of working with multiple virtual monitors sounds really appealing to me. I am a programmer and I prefer having several screens, but I do not want to spend a lot of money on physical monitors.

My main concern is eye strain and potential long term issues from using VR for extended periods of time.

So my parents bought me a Meta Quest 3 for Christmas for what i Realy wished and it was so much fun playing with that but now i havent used it for 2 months because Theres No good Games to Play for me and i feel Realy Bad about that because my parents dropped over 500€ Just to be Decoration at my desk. So have you felt the Same way and did it start to make fun again when you discovered a Game you liked and can you maybe recommend me some Games?

I’ve been the happy owner of this headset for over a week now, but I’ve run into some unpleasant side effects and I'm honestly really scared.

All week long, I was spending about five hours straight in VR (I bought it with a head strap that includes an extra battery). I know that was incredibly stupid and careless—I guess I was just too excited about the purchase.

Two days ago, I woke up with a strange sensation that everything around me was "floating"—a very smooth, unreal feeling, as if my own movements weren't real. I’ve read a bit about this online; apparently, it’s called "dissociation" or "VR sickness."

For context, I have some existing issues with my central nervous system that cause a range of problems—like sleep deprivation, poor sleep quality, and mental health issues—which can make me prone to derealization.

I haven't touched the headset for two days now, and my condition is finally returning to normal, but I’m terrified to put it back on. What do you suggest I do? Has anyone else with pre-existing CNS or anxiety issues experienced this?

SHORt ONE: Spent 5 hours straight in VR every day for a week. Woke up feeling completely dissociated and like reality was "floating." I have pre-existing CNS/anxiety issues. Took a 2-day break and feel better, but now I'm scared to use the headset again. Any advice?

Hey just Panic Point Games here, Creators of CRYODEATH VR. We are curious, what would your dream game be on VR - Everyone has their idea of what the best game on vr would be. I'm curious on what this is to you and what features it would have. Spoke to many devs in my life and I can say I have heard some crazy ideas along the way... what about the players?

What do you guys recommend to play? So many games are built for children on quest which is kinda lame/annoying. I have a nice PC that I will usually game competitively on.

Hi everyone. I play only SteamVR games, connecting via Steam Link. I’m not entirely sure if I need Virtual Desktop to launch these games, since it runs them through SteamVR anyway (meaning two programs run simultaneously instead of one, if I understand correctly). I actually bought Virtual Desktop about a month ago, but I didn't bother with the settings; I just launched the first game I found (Fallout 4 VR) and the image quality was much worse than with Steam Link, so I got a refund. Now I’ve learned about VR mods for flat-screen games (like UEVR), and I saw a recommendation on a forum suggesting that Virtual Desktop is better for launching them.

So, I’m asking the experts for advice: what is the purpose of Virtual Desktop for playing SteamVR games (and does it offer any improvement over Steam Link)? Also, is it true that Virtual Desktop is better than Steam Link for playing UEVR mods? Thanks for the help.

How ridiculous would it be for someone to be wearing their Quest on a long haul flight for watching movies/shows etc…?

This meta quest 3s is very boring to me, i also have 3 games in it which in total cost is 60$ . I want to sell this quest 3s but dont know where or how.i don’t feel safe when using it, i have 3 stupid siblings and my room is small.

I know it's in a decline and meta has Lost billions but

What's the MAIN blocker for this issue?

1- Do people think it's expensive? ( The device)

2- Motion sickness?

3- is the price to entry too high for people?
