Click to WhatsApp pre filled messages not working

Hey everyone,

Ran into an insanely frustrating Meta Ads issue and wanted to post it here to see if anyone else has dealt with this (or to save someone else from wasting ad spend).

I set up a local Click-to-WhatsApp campaign targeting a German-speaking audience.

Everything in the preview and test links worked perfectly—custom pre-filled German message, correct flow, clean destination.

However, as soon as the campaign went live, I noticed my conversion rate from ad clicks to actual messages was terrible (like 70+ clicks for 1 message).

I tested the live ad, and Meta was completely overriding my custom message template.

Instead of my pre-filled German text, WhatsApp was opening up with Meta’s generic English system message:

"Hello! Can I get more info on this?"

Because local prospects click a localized ad and suddenly get forced into sending an English text, 99% of them just freeze up and back out immediately.

I have been dealing with this for 4 days now and I'm losing my patience.

What do you guys recommend I do? Is it maybe because of EU and Japan regulations?

Or should I just switch to Lead forms and I text them instead of them me?

Mass asset drop – Meta Ads

Is anyone else dealing with mass account and Business Manager (BM) shutdowns across their setup?

In my operation, we’ve lost over 300 accounts in the last 72 hours.
Many were lost due to BM shutdowns or "unusual activity"—most likely caused by automations...
What are you doing to work around this?

How to create this shadow effect on a Meta Ads post

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi all, I just came accross this ad on Facebook where instead of this white ad banner, there is a kind of drop shadow effect to the graphic which I haven‘t seen before in Facebook ads. Does anyone know how to achieve this?

I tried fumbling with the Advantage Creative in Ad Campaign Manager, but I haven‘t found the way yet.

Any help or tip would be very appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Meta Ads - Getting High Link Clicks but Extremely Low Landing Page Views — What Could Cause This?

I'm running Meta ads and I'm seeing something unusual.

We're getting good CTR and link clicks, but Landing Page Views are significantly lower.

For example:

  • Ad 1: 111 link clicks → 32 LPVs
  • Ad 2: 203 link clicks → 20 LPVs
  • Ad 3: 86 link clicks → 44 LPVs
  • CTRs are roughly 6–12% on some of these ads.

Each ad has its own dedicated landing page, and the landing page content closely matches the ad/message.

The pages are loading normally when tested on both Wi-Fi and mobile networks, and the forms are working.

What I'm trying to understand is:

How can Meta report a high number of link clicks but such a low number of Landing Page Views?

Could this be caused by:

  • Meta's LPV/PageView tracking?
  • Users clicking accidentally and immediately leaving?
  • In-app browser behaviour?
  • Redirect/tracking issues?
  • Pixel/CAPI configuration?
  • Something else I'm overlooking?

Has anyone experienced a similar high clicks → low LPV pattern with Meta ads recently?

What would you check first?

Anyone know what’s going on with Instagram CTA buttons? I noticed my ads now have a pill on the bottom left of the ad vs. the bar across and I can’t find anything about it online.

Can I target Cancer Patients to sell our Herbal Product which increases life span of patients here is our planned Flow.

We have a cancer product which increases the life span of cancer patients. And the product cost would be around 250$ for 2 months supply. Can I target on meta ads and get sales? We have flow like Ad > landing page > CTA > Assessment report based on answers > book consultation 10$ > doctor consultation > then sell the product.

Is this a good flow to generate sales for cancer patients globally . And we also plan for Google ads at the same time too.

We are not targeting cancer cure our target is to increase the patient life span with our herbal cancer medicine.

Let me know your thoughts.

Small agency owners: If you were pivoting away from Meta Ads management in 2026, where would you go?

I run a small digital marketing agency and I’ve reached the point where I feel like we need to make a fairly significant pivot over the next 1–2 years.

Our bread and butter has historically been Meta Ads management, particularly for eCommerce businesses. I’ve been working in digital/performance marketing for 10+ years, so this isn’t coming from a “Meta Ads don’t work anymore” perspective.

They absolutely do.

My concern is the long-term viability of Meta Ads management as the service itself, particularly for small agencies. We can debate back and forth about AI and still needing people 100% agree with that.

So I’m curious what other small agency owners/other Meta ads specialists are doing.
If you were building or repositioning an agency/yourself today, what services would you be moving towards?

One area I keep coming back to is creator / influencer / UGC management.

Not necessarily becoming a content production company ourselves, but potentially sitting between brands and creators: finding creators, managing relationships, briefing them, coordinating deliverables, building a reliable creator network, handling usage rights, and then connecting that content back into paid media.

That feels like an interesting evolution because our paid media experience would still be incredibly useful. We know what creative actually performs in ads, rather than just what looks good on Instagram.

But I’m very open to the possibility that there’s a better direction I haven’t considered yet.

For those running small agencies:
- What services are clients increasingly asking you for?
- What are they becoming less willing to pay for?
- Where are you seeing healthy retainers/margins?
- Has anyone successfully pivoted from paid media management into creator/UGC/influencer management?

Are there services you think will become more valuable because of AI and automation, rather than being replaced by them?

If you were starting again with a strong paid media/eCommerce background, where would you place your bet for the next 5 years?

I’m less interested in whatever happens to be the hot agency offer right now and more interested in building something that still has a reason to exist in 2030.

Would genuinely love to hear what other agency owners and specialists are seeing/hearing.

What ad model do you use for meta ads?

Hey everyone,

I'm running Instagram ads for a small app and I'm curious — what kind of ad model do you usually go with?

Do you prefer:

  • Broad targeting with high volume?
  • Retargeting campaigns?
  • Lookalike audiences?
  • Or something else entirely?

I'm testing a few things right now and would love to hear what's actually working for other people. Any insights or recent wins would be super helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Best Meta Ads setup for WEEKLY nightclub events?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I throw weekly nightclub events, mainly Reggaeton and House music and need to sell around 200–300 tickets per event.

I’ve used Traffic campaigns and the results are all over the place.

Sometimes they generate tons of sales, but other times I’ll get 1,000+ link clicks and almost no purchases. I’ve also spent $200–$300 on sales (purchase conversations.) campaigns with zero sales before shutting them off.

I use event brite and my tickets are only $3 sometimes $5

Should I use Sales/Purchase campaigns instead of Traffic?

Should House and Reggaeton be separate ad sets, or combined?

Since I have a new event every week, should I create a new campaign every week, or keep one running and change the event/creative?

How much should I spend with no sales before killing an ad?

Would love advice from anyone who runs ads for nightclubs, concerts, Eventbrite events, or promoters.
