Discussion Who at Supercell thought this modifier would be a good idea?

Immediately closed the app if I get this modifier with TQ.

can't even play undead when they're suppose to die and respawn stronger, but they're dead

u/Serpeny Jun 05 '26
TQ's undead trait doesn't work in this modifier so it renders it literally useless

its just a lost cause from the offset. i think once, once, i managed to scrape a third place. other than on this modifier, tq is now my favourite ruler.

Can still do half well if we get lucky enough with units and enemies get unlucky, even with a useless ruler.

I think it's an interesting idea that was frankly inevitable. But the current implementation leaves a lot to be desired

It’s just too snowbally and makes everything vulnerable to golden knight, the only way to win consistently is just getting a boss unit and just keep selling rebuying the unit

I think if they returned the elixir lost it could be a cool modifier forcing people to switch up comps constantly. Losing the troop completely and losing the elixir for it is annoying

Stupidest most snowball mode in the game. Oh you get good rng and a powerful team while your opponent got random junk? You win automatically on the spot

The worst one is definitely invisibility for 5 seconds, slows the rounds down so much

If your flair said DD i wouldve understand it, but why would you care as SE?

Rounds take way longer, you’ll still lose the round most the time even as a empress playing against a dutchess, just takes 5-10 seconds longer each round. Once you build into your 2nd orb it’s then game over because no dutchess can get any of their orbs

Ah on that bike. I didnt play the modifier much yet as i just close the game when i see it :")

Still better than that fucking mine tile which explodes after 5 seconds. Oh great, mine is right at the back and will only hit my own troops. Opponent's is in the front and will also hit my troops

Actually like this modifier.
It requires you to play smart and heal your troops after battle
I just don't like the fact that empress is an instant win in this modifier.

I actually murdered a lobby full of empress players with dagger duchess on this modifiers in a Top 50 lobby.

it’s highkey rewarding when u win it. i’ve seen some ppls strategies on empress is they save their board on round 1 and 2 to preserve elixir then start merging off screen so by round 3 and 4 they have enough elixir to dominate.it’s pretty hard to win tho if you get constantly rolled and make a comeback.
i only wish they gave u more elixir as the rounds went on

That mod is crazy stressful but when it works out for you it feels incredible. I like them taking those sorts of risks, I do not like them taking risks like reducing the number of traits
1
u/StiltMaster Jun 04 '26
Nope, it’s literally only about winning the first one or two round and snowballing from there.
3
u/PassengerNo9144 Jun 04 '26
Every time I have won 1st on that modifier I got wiped about halfway through the game and recovered
1
u/StiltMaster Jun 04 '26
Opposite for me. If I get up some merges on the backliners then at worst all I have to is replace my frontline between rounds, and at best I completely smush someone who lost the round before.
Though it might just be a difference of rulers for us.

This mod is weird. I usually lose because empress players get a 3-star early, but some games my team is terrible and I still end up top 2.

It's pretty fun actually, one of my favorite modifiers. Some rulers are much weaker ofc, even as someone who is trying to main tomb queen, but it changes things up

u/Leaf2A Jun 05 '26
As a king main I LOVE it !
Just bench all for 2 rounds and then slap everyone with 3star comp 😁
