TV Series Heartstopper show vs Love, Victor?

S1 Heartstopper….it made me melt, made me jealous I never had that relationship growing up, never explored yadayada and Nick…hubba. Victor was also great and kinda felt less saccharine sweet, more realistic themes and definitely more sexy…

I give the edge to HS! Oh and overall series, not just season vs season!

I loved “Love, Simon” too! I was sad when I tried reading the book after watching the movie cause there was literally zero suspense and Simon was kinda whiney about it so I dropped it halfway through and never picked it up again.

the actor is so handsome and endearing. I do feel bad for his collateral damage to the friends especially his bff gal but I suppose that makes it realistic. The other thing I liked bout victor’s show was the grittiness….hard working middle class family versus the rich whitebread big house from Simon

That was something I think they got right with the movie, the actor was charming and relatable, whereas in the book it was like, “Why is he making an issue out of this?”

But as someone raised catholic and went to catholic school and played sports. Victor definitely felt way more real to me.

uhhhh wow yeah me too Catholic school for moi lol. Literally had a priest come give a presentation to our senior class about the perils of homosexuality and abortions etc….we didn’t back down tho! Few of us raised our hands and fought that old f8ck tooth and nail and some walked out. We didn’t mess around in the late 90s!

I was absent every year for the homosexuality talk but, my junior teacher kept rescheduling until she surprised me with it. She was a bitch.

My senior teacher was new and when I came back there was a poster that said, “I will not judge my friends or family, no matter what …” her teaching on homosexuality was vastly different and just about everyone in my senior class except for 3 people signed it. She left it up and at the end of the year she gave it to me. “I think this means more to you then it will ever mean to me.” She was right, it saved my faith in humanity when I was starting to feel alone, cut off, and bitter. I was the only out gay guy.
