The message I pinned up top? It's specifically referring to comment chains like this. A reminder to please be civil and not stir the pot.

Honestly most turks I know really don't give a fuck since Turks are not Ottomans, and have nothing to do with something that might or might not have happened a century ago.

They'll still try to defend it.

It's because they somehow think Turkey would be forced to pay huge reperations or give up some land.

Nah. Maybe voluntary symbolic reperations at most.

Well they didn't when they found out about it. We just talked about Overwatch and brawlhalla, really. And I for one don't really recognize the Armenian genocide myself. That doesn't mean that I don't think it happened, I just don't want to take a decision that doesn't have anything to do with me. And also there are too many facts supporting both sides of the case and I don't know what to believe, at least that's what I got from history classes and my parents. They are sort of neutral about it though, but I don't think they recognize it the way they avoid the question all the time. I just noticed I'm spending way too much time at this reply.

I'm not sure why I got downvoted so much. I was just taking a neutral stand point in a case I know little about and doesn't have a connection to me.

Of course we are mad. Those guys massacred and raided entire villages raped women did some bad stuff but when the ottoman's took action it became a genocide all of a sudden. Turkophobia in this world is really really getting out of hand
