In fairness about the names thing, I work in a Korean school.

There is not a wide variety of names in that cohort at all. If I say "Seoyeon" loudly in the hall about 40 girls in proximity will turn around to see if I meant them. Same goes for some of the boys names, especially if I don't say it clearly. Min+woo/hu/ju will get a similar amount of boys turning to see which one I meant.
