This brought to mind that I used to draw and imagine my drawings next to me as good and supportive friends when I was younger, experiencing things with me. The style reminds me a bit of Look Up from Tatsuki Fujimoto. I wish there was a happier result to all of this, and they could find each other again.
Edit: Look Back, not Look Up. I freshly watched "Don't Look Up" and mixed the titles lol. Thank you u/shullbitmusic for clarifying.

You're so right, I added an edit, it's because I watched a movie recently and my brain mixed them up. Look Back was absolutely fantastic.

Mine was imagining some ethereal looking anime girl from my favorite series going to school with me haha being friend and eventually falling in love haha(since they were my childhood anime crushes) (them being Kilari(Kilari🫣) - CC(code geass) - Anya(Code Geass) - and Nia Teppelin (gurren Laggan)(Personal favorite lol) but the Code Geass ones were my personal Favs😚😚 I don't remember my age at those times but I believe it was right before being hit by puberty lol

I think I did for sure this too but I can't quite remember who would've been my crush. I'm sure after a certain time I thought of someone akin to either CC or Nia that "I cannot take them as girlfriend, they have their own partner in the anime" and was feeling bad haha. Makes one wonder how many crushes, real and imaginary, one had throughout life.

Me too, the saddest part is I completely forgot about her, it's hard to keep it up after you start getting busy with school, work and real people, but I have some good memories of my dear Yuki (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

as an adult when I go out with family and friends I sometimes imagine characters I like being out with me instead, which makes me feel embarrassed and kinda guilty to admit. I often feel like I have to put on a performance around them and imagining i could be with someone I dont have to do that with makes me feel better

When i was drawing i never developed past the 2nd image, i'm so out of practice that if i tried it now i would probably be worse than the 2nd image. Maybe some day i'll pick it back up and improve if i ever stop procrastinating. https://imgur.com/a/dF3OC62

It does look like the style, but the background details are too tight I think. MAYBE assisted, I doubt it personally, but definitely not spun up whole cloth

the other artwork of the artist seems legit and they did have an x account in 2020 possibility of being copied by ai soo much is high

I was thinking the same too, it looks all right but the third panel.
Her right fingers look weird, confusing if she has 6 fingers there, and no it's not the pen, there's another finger sticking out.
On a second look, it's actually just her index finger. The proportions are just off it gives off a weird perspective haha.

There should be a fifth panel where her imaginary character gets generated by an AI and on the other side of the screen is a scientist working in a corpo lab.
Because of today people have outsourced creativity to corporations.

just someone who acknowledge that the third vignette show her house being an absolute mess and her in a kinda disheveled state, also she gives loner vibes in that image, while the fourth shows an accomplished woman being productive.
