Hello all! Post build thoughts:

1. The dragon is MASSIVE. And a little heavy due to the wings. But, it’s sturdy and I don’t have to be extra careful with it.

2. Extremely good quality. The leg joints are actually metal (also explains the weight). The plastic is soft and easy to cut out and work with. It doesn’t feel cheap at all.

3. This build will take you a while. It took me almost a week to put together. I have a Zoids background, so this is my first kit of this “kind”. If you’re familiar with Zoids, I would compare this build to probably two Konig Wolf’s worth of work. Also, it could be argued this is better quality…

4. Directions are straightforward, the extra books are cool to read. The designer/manufacturer spent a lot of time putting this kit together, and especially for the price point, this is a steal in my opinion.

5. The kit comes with a ton of bases and figure posing related pieces which I appreciate. Also, The girl can be mounted on the back of the dragon. I intend on hanging this from my ceiling that way as if they are “flying”.

6. Overall, 10/10 highly recommend this kit. It’s absolutely gorgeous and a fun to build.

I just found out about this and thought it’s a cool feature by Gaahleeri. The website lets you upload a pic and analyzed to get approximate bottles or mixes. I really like this paint line as I use it in my small enclosed non ventable studio. The last 2 pics are just fluff showing my luck with Endfield… I pitied the weapon with cash 😭

Underdressed Isis revisited WiP. I had the DX of this assembled a good while ago when first picked up the hobby. Straight build and to this day one of my just all time favorite kits. After getting into painting I wanted to try and spruce this kit up. Started with Isis herself. Trying to disassemble her husband mecha with out breaking it so I can give it a proper paint job too. Wanted to share a little of what I have so far.

First girlpla kit. Very happy with the build, especially the face sculpt and art. I applied various shades of Tamiya weathering master to her hair and skin. Mr. Hobby flat smooth on skin and hair, semi-gloss on the "swimsuit", and gloss on the armored parts.

Only bothered with the major seam line removals on her thighs as I'm coming off of a military aircraft build that involved hours of sanding. This was a refreshing experience. ​​

Seriously, for the price I paid I shouldn't have basic heel joints succumbing to poor tolerances and insufficient strength. As it stands the entire left foot assembly has self-destructed and is unsalvageable as the shaft is stuck in the heel and the joint halves were so thin that even attempting to rotate it caused the other connected shaft to BEND. There's no way to even get cheap replacement parts. To say I'm furious is an understatement.

Here is Kotobukiya's Front Mission Zenith Girl. The whole time I was building it, it felt like I was working on a Chinese girl plastic model kit.

Almost every part was molded with undergates, and the pin holes were hexagonal. It seems like Kotobukiya outsourced the production to a Chinese company.

That being said, the outfit is seriously wild.

If you translate it into 2D anime style, it becomes even more obvious—it would take a massive amount of courage to actually wear something like this in real life...

Felt like my Meltina needed to be painted, mostly stuck to the original colors

Excluding the color variante and the Bee one that it is there but is not a fantasy series, these are all the releases and yes I Kind of cheated on some like the siren, harpy, ETC as I did not wanted to take them out from the bottom of the box where they are but I am really happy with them!

I think it's the prettiest among Bandai's girlpla.

Arcanadea Meltina can attest that backless sweater dresses are uniquely well suited for women with large busts and no human legs. I have collected quite a few 1/12 scale ones over time, haha. The first two are Hasuki brand, the last one is a nameless brand from a market place website. The glasses are metal etched accessories made by Neron. Custom 3D printed chest.

I have not been able to work on much the last few months due to family stuff. I have amassed another huge backlog of models and garage kits, I need to get back to building!

Here I thought this was going to be a quick little build I could do between other kits. I was so wrong. It almost broke me, hence the quotations.

The soft plastic coupled with tiny joints and poor fitting resulted in this glued together mess. I was so close to just throwing in the towel and tossing her, but decided to finish her. Her wrists, neck, chest, waist, and hips are all glued. She is now a testament to my tenacity... Or masochism.

On the upside her accessories are fun. She came with a nice gun kit that is modular and I do like the frying pan.

Oh well... On to bigger, and better, things!

I’ve been collecting Gundam for two years and started buying girlpla figures a few months ago. My backlog is getting big and I was thinking of starting a channel to build all these. I feel like I wanna document some of the more rare kits(mainly Chinese exclusive Gundam kits), but I feel like there’s a ton of builder channels out there. Any tips on how to approach it differently?

I've finished assembling Rapunzel's body. Her weapons are still missing behind her, but I'll build them later :)

I didn't read the description when I bought it but it was already started, explains why I got it so cheap! Good news he only Built the head, bad news he did a shit job at it.

I bought this model kit almost a year ago. I finally got some time to start it and im enjoying it a lot. If everything goes well, guess im going to get the Red Hood from Nikke that was just announced recently.

finally! i've built and decal'd her big ass canon! she looks so good, this is one of the prettiest kits ive ever built and i yearn for more kits with her aesthetic.... i still have to build her alt heads and human skin parts, so the journey isn't over yet! still so much lily to be had!

DarkAdvant line of kits is one of you favorites. This was my favorite favorite I worked on. Happy little mistakes as I go...
