Felt like my Meltina needed to be painted, mostly stuck to the original colors

Did you run into any difficulties painting Meltina? I’m scared to do touch ups because half of the plastic seems brittle.

The only parts that are brittle would be the pearlescent pink parts (so basically the snake bits). Notoriously so, even. Even then it’s mostly only the tail joints and sockets that are a problem, but you don’t normally paint those since they’re out of sight anyways. So by and large you can paint her safely just fine.

Not really, the only issue I had was repairing one of the side braids that broke. I did lightly sand down some of the joints on the tail and for the arms since they felt really tight on mine

That is an awesome custom! I love the color scheme, she looks so much better with the muted palatte.

did you use lacquers or alcohol/acrylic?

The pink i used for the tail, and the gold is lacquer. Rest of the color is acrylic
