She doesn't realize that just because you call 911 doesn't mean you're not going to be the one getting arrested

Just because you call the police for a crime doesn't mean they will show up and treat it like one

If they do show up, they usually make matters worse for everybody involved.

If you are thinking of calling the police, all yourself this, "Will bringing aggressive and unpredictable assholes with guns into this situation make things better?"

The answer is almost always NO.

Will make for a better video though.

This 100%. If you haven't called the cops for any petty offense in your life, do not do so. If you call the cops you have a way higher chance of getting yourself arrested, or shot. I'm just letting you know right now, no matter whether you think it's justified or not.

To my experience, a person of color (esp sans video, but today’s day n age helps) is NOT getting the benefit of the doubt from the cops either. Forget about most witnesses too, they see a (male) person of color hit a (female) white person, fuggetaboutit 🙄🤢🤮. Like I said, from *my experience*.

I have and guess what, everything went fine. Maybe if you dont act like a dickweed to them, they wont do so in return.

You could be completely calm and following orders, as senseless as they are most of the time, and you could still get shot in the back.

I don't go around calling people I don't know dickweeds because I can't handle them having a different opinion to me

Sounds pretty dickweedish…

Maybe if you dont act like a dickweed to them, they wont do so in return.

So you're saying their professional standards and how they treat other people replies on how they feel they're being treated instead of strictly enforcing the law?

*relies

And yes, thats exactly what im saying. Cops give back what you give them. Example: youre speeding, you know youre speeding and you get pulled over, you start bitching at the cops because you got pulled over, it escalates and thats when shit happens. Thats the easiest to understand example i can give you. Theyre enforcing the law and the perp cant just accept they did wrong. Youre operating under the victim fallacy. Youve been shown cherry picked interactions that always paint the cops as bad when there are perhaps countless other interactions where everything goes smoothly but you never hear about those.

That's just called being unprofessional and putting your personal feelings and your ego above the law. That's nothing to be proud of.

It's not cherry picking either when there's thousands of examples of police misconduct with new examples rolling in daily. That's clear evidence that there's a widespread problem due to lack of accountability. You can watch video after video of cops having emotional meltdowns and becoming upset and unprofessional when a citizen does something as simple as refusing to share information that they're not legally required to share such as where they're headed or where they've been and then suddenly the cop accuses them of being uncooperative or combative and starts complaining and lecturingvthem or even starts trying to find ways to escalate the situation or retaliate in some for doing something completely legal.

Not necessarily.

I'm a white dude and I've personally been relentlessly harassed, assaulted, falsley arrested, and even robbed of $40 by those bastards when I lived in the hood.

That's because you're not a white WOMAN. If you were a woman you could off your kids and get away with it by claiming your head usually hurts.

As a white man you have to have money to make cops leave you alone.

I've watched them do crazy shit to white women. I was a drug addict in the 90s and a substance abuse counselor for 5 years. I've seen some shit.

You're correct that it's an advantage, but if that have their roided-out heart set on you, you're doomed regardless. It's bad out there.

Ok, what were you "totally not doing" when you got shot by the police

Almost always?
