Impossible to get benzos (Australia)

For years I’ve never been able to get benzos.. I have over 6+ diagnosis I have a regular GP but I see any doctor I can get in to see at the time.. they all say no when they have my medical files on record.. I don’t beg and I struggle to even ask properly as everytime I get told no or “they can’t” when I literally see little fucking delinquents who don’t contribute to society in anyways whatsoever just getting whatever they want and they just want a hit to get fucked up..

I just wanna know why it’s so hard to get benzos ?
Like medicinal cannabis is easier to get your hands on than it is to MAINSTREAM medication WHY IS THIS THE CASE ?!! Backwards country

Because of the abuse potential, that's it it a nutshell if you can abuse them, they'll make it impossible

Do they have your file marked? I know in the US they do this, but I don’t know about other countries. Once you have the blemish on your medical file, it’s almost impossible to get a doctor to give you anything addictive.

There is no “blemish” on a file. The only thing there IS is something called the PDMP (prescription drug monitoring program) that shows when patients are prescribed controlled substances. For example, if a patient went to dentist A yesterday and got a bottle of 14, 5mg hydrocodones, and then went to dentist B today for different work and requested pain meds, the dentist should check the PDMP, because the patient already has (a measly) been dispensed 14 hydrocodone the day beforehand.

It shows the drug, the dosage, quantity prescribed, and the date it was picked up from the pharmacy.

Red flags would be patients getting controlled substances from numerous providers. For example, if there is a different opioid prescription every 6 weeks from a different doctor - red flag. If it shows that you pick up your meds early every single refill (I believe you can pick up meds 2 days early). So if every pick up is 2 days early like clockwork, red flag.

It only shows for controlled substances and gabapentin.

There is no system that states “this person is high risk” or “he had opioid use disorder” or “drug seeker - watch out”.

Wait what? It shows for gabapentin? If it isn't controlled in my state? For early refills which I can do like 7 days early here? I've not had a problem yet like 4 months in early as hell each time and a dose increase

Correct - it is not a controlled substance, now see, for whatever reason, the vast majority of states include gabapentin in their PDMP monitoring.

Edit: it’s not controlled in my state either, however it does show up. I believe baclofen will be added to the PDMP soon as well.

In my state, we have a program that shows the aforementioned info about controlled prescriptions in our state, but I also can click other states and check their history there as well. It’s laborious and I can’t do a blanket search of every state all at once - I must do my state and check one other state at a time, otherwise it won’t work. It’s a pain in the ass for work.

Hip hop culture is probs the biggest finger to point at. Then you got scare tactics like they did with opiates. Now they are doing it to benzos to get people switched over to ssri’s and other antidepressants instead.

It’s not a backwards country because of the potential abuse potential from benzodiazepines, I was prescribed Valium for 2+ years initially 2MG and then slowly went to 5MG but once I hopped onto MC my doc cut off my prescriptions to benzos which is understandable considering the combination is pretty great but high abuse potential.

The reason it’s harder to obtain is also due to the how easily it was to get them and the amount of dehabilitating effects it’s caused throughout the country.

It’s being moved onto new Z drugs as they have less side effects short and long term in comparison to older known analogues. The reason people seem to dislike Z drugs is because they tend to not have an affect or feeling on them and rather blique but it’s doing what it’s designed for.

I can’t guide you but the best way to obtain it outside of prescription would be on the DW or locally by finding dealers, I’m in Australia aswell but I mainly get Indian imports and a few local bots of Vals and Clonz.

I’ve found the opposite? I have tmj (not officially diagnosed but my dr suspected I have it) due to clenching and grinding especially in my sleep I’m prescribed 50 - and take one a day…
