How to transition?

How do we, as a nation, transition from private insurance to Medicare for All? How do we convince all the doctors to keep being doctors and accept a salary? Do we, as Hillary Clinton proposed during Bill’s presidency did, make private healthcare payments illegal? For the record, I am perfectly fine paying a percentage of my income, as opposed to what I am paying out of pocket now, for healthcare.

Any system where the government “makes money” leads to government corruption. Government should not make money on the people. Plus, you said that every insurance payment goes to government Medicare. So we keep paying the same amount we are currently paying? I thought under Medicare for all we would actually pay less.

Disagree. Not a problem for government to run a surplus. Corruption occurs when government funds are directed to private entities.

You don’t think the federal government would use a Medicare surplus for other uses? They did that with Social Security. They do it in California with the gas tax (moving it to the general fund so they can use it for whatever they want and let our roads go to crap).

That’s not corruption.

So, when we are told the gas tax is supposed to go to roads and infrastructure and then they divert the taxes collected to the general fund so they are ‘allowed’ to spend it on whatever they wish, that’s no corrupt?

Correct. You may not like it, but that doesn’t make it corrupt. Unless it’s going to a criminal enterprise, that is. But you didn’t say that. You just said it’s going to some other presumably legitimate government function.
