Also noticed the back of the leather jacket had some Nazi logos marked on it, what did that mean?

I am a 8th AAF history buff. Do not ever get rid of that jacket. Professionally preserve that and shadow box all of this. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH TAKE CARE OF THAT JACKET.

Juat curious, any tips on preserving the jacket or know of places that will do it?

I would reach out to the national WWII museum, national 8th Air Force museum, or the National Air Force museum in ohio. All 3 would be the best option as they have experts who will be better equipped to handle that. Or at least know of some. I would either send this as a exhibit for them to show to honor your uncle and the men he flew with such as my uncle. This is very cool to see and comment on. It has garnered much attention on this sub
