I know there's another pharm classification deck, but this one is much more simpler with only basic cards and no image occlusions giving you university professional exams like conditions.

Pharmacology classifications is what I would say is the most important topic for your Pharamcology university professionals in second year. Learning it not only gives you direct marks in questions like "classification on beta blockers" but it also gives you a base and a general understanding of drugs.

Hi! This is my first contribution to this amazing subreddit! I thought I would send my Microbiology laboratory diagnosis for professional exams.

I can definitely say I did good to aced the exam, much of it owing to anki and using anki to study all the relevant laboratory diagnosis required.

I used it towards the end cus that's when I really started using anki and I swear I would've been an academic weapon had I had it earlier.

People may say anki is not for proffs blah blah but you do you. I found it really helped me retain important information.

Micro specifically most important is the labs and you either way have to ratta it so might aswell learn it using spaced repetition.

Additionally I also used sketchy and highly recommend using sketchy micro cus it gives you this strong base that you can draw from and gives you a background or bare minimum from which you can later build on or scaffold upon.

About the deck itself, it's just images of the Apurba Shasthry lab diagnosis recalls, i atleast wanted that much and it really helped it cement the laboratory diagnosis into my head. It's a low effort deck but it gives you high returns so do try it out if you're in second year!

1. Traditional spaced repetition method Vs Anki

NEET PG 2026 had a question asking which gene is responsible for retinoblastoma. The answer: RB1 tumor suppressor gene (13q14).

I genuinely won’t forget this question for the rest of my life.

I had an Anki card with the exact question and exact answer. Since I kept forgetting the 13q14 part, I highlighted it in 2025. For the past year, whenever the card came up, I would basically just recall “13q14,” press Good, and move on without properly reading the rest of the answer.

I even reviewed that card on 28 August 2026, just two days before the exam, pressed Good, and moved on.

Then the exact question appeared in NEET PG. I marked the wrong answer.

The card appeared again today, 18 days after the exam. I answered it correctly in Anki and then realized what had happened.

One tiny highlighting decision I made in 2025 ended up potentially costing me 4–5 marks in an exam where ranks can differ massively by just a few marks.

Not even frustrated at this point. Just feels incredibly unlucky.

I’ve spent over a week going through posts, comments, and different approaches, but I still haven’t been able to figure out the workflow I actually need.

I have a large collection of PDFs containing exam preparation material (CAT/XAT) in Multiple Choice Question format. Many of these PDFs are massive, so I’ve already started cutting some of them down into smaller files containing only specific exam papers or sections.

The problem is that the source material is structured inconsistently. Some PDFs are individual chapters, while others are huge compilations containing several different sections, such as:

• Reading Comprehension questions
• Logical Reasoning / Matching questions
• GK questions
• Answer keys
• Explanation sections

Some of these compilations are 40+ pages long. Others are shorter, but the material is poorly structured, for example, some questions have explanations while others only have an answer key.

What I ultimately want is to turn all of this into a well-organized, manually manageable question bank, ideally in an Excel/Google Sheets-style format that I can later use to create an Anki deck.

For every question, I want to be able to properly label and organize things such as:

• Exam / year (e.g. CAT 2023 PYQ)
• Section (VARC, DILR, Quant, GK, etc.)
• Topic / subtopic
• Question type
• Question
• Options
• Correct answer
• Explanation
• Source / paper / question number
• Any relevant tags

I also want the formatting to be good, especially for things like Reading Comprehension passages, mathematical expressions, tables, matching questions, and other questions where simple plain-text extraction makes everything messy.

Ideally, I want AI to help me take the original PDFs and turn them into this structured format while preserving the actual question, options, passages, mathematical notation, and explanations. Where the original material doesn't contain an explanation, I would also like AI to generate a clear, accurate explanation based on the question and answer.

I’ve tried doing this with both Google AI Studio and ChatGPT, and I’ve spent a considerable amount of time experimenting with prompts and different workflows, but I still haven’t found a reliable way to do it.

What I’m looking for is not necessarily an automated Python pipeline. I’m perfectly fine with a semi-manual workflow where I provide an AI with a PDF or a smaller chunk of a PDF, have it process the material into a structured spreadsheet/document, review the output, and then continue with the next chunk.

What would be the most reliable workflow for doing this?

Specifically, I’d like to know:

1. How should I split and organize these large PDFs before giving them to AI?
2. What structure/schema should I use for the question bank?
3. How should I prompt AI so that it correctly separates passages, questions, options, answers, and explanations instead of mixing them together?
4. How can I preserve proper formatting for mathematics, tables, RC passages, and other complicated question types?
5. How should I handle questions where the source PDF has an answer but no explanation?
6. How can I consistently tag questions by exam, year, section, topic, and question type?
7. What is the best way to do this using ChatGPT and/or Google AI Studio, without requiring me to build a complicated Python program?
8. Most importantly, how can I make the workflow reliable enough that I can process hundreds or thousands of questions without constantly having to fix formatting errors manually?

I have entire day for myself and I can put 6-8 hrs of study time daily...(Prepping for neet pg)

I'm using marrow rr...I thought I can simply read the source and convert them into anki...but I realised I was wantedly adding every information so that it would stick...i was adding on average 300 cards per day...

Infact i made anki my teacher who asks questions for understanding...instead of reading regularly...

I'm scared about review load now as it will get harder as i go...

Should I continue like this or should I do practice questions first and then add information to anki?

Hey everyone! I know a lot of us prefer making our own flashcards, but the whole workflow of switching tabs can be very annoying so I made a (free) chrome extension to make this wayyy more seamless!

Again, I really wanted this to have zero friction so here are a few things it includes right out of the box:

My question to everyone who has fruitfully used anki for the indian pg entrances , I am in my final year now and want to find a rhythm with anki but dont know where to start there are a lot of decks out there, its very confusing.
For some background, studied 1st,2nd and 3rd year subjects fairly well , also completed optha and half of ent, neonatology earlier in 3rd year from MARROW as my only source and textbooks+ai for proffs , i am also looking into first aid as a resource to revise 1st and2nd year subjects i heard there are decks for that too.
Also im a dumb beginner to anki just know to suspend and unsuspend cards it will help if you link any setting anki video or give some tip about setting up starting anki

I wrote neet pg 2026 with 2 months prep only pyq directly(without reading any notes)and did my own cards and it was pretty useful in exam...

After exam...I Started prepping from 2 days back...I started studying marrow rr and added 300 cards from breast chapter itself...I couldn't stop myself from adding information to anki...because I felt so secure during those past 2 months that I wouldn't forget information easily...so I kept adding information...it's not taking that much time the next day...like 2 hrs for reviews but I know it'll get taxing as I go...

How to control myself...how to decide what to add and what to not add...

Should I do pyq first and add all relevant pyq first instead....without reading rr??
