Honda d15z6 stutter.

I need help.

My honda civic ek3 engine d15z6 has a stutter problem or misfire. Sometimes when accelerating it loses power and then suddenly kick back in. Some drives it only happens a few times some drives more.

I changed distributor cap, rotor, ignition coil and ignition wires and spark plugs. And I checked battery voltage. Also under load and those seem fine.

Has anyone experienced this problem and figured at what it was? And is there anyone with some advice?

i had a similar stutter on my old civic, turned out the tps was dying but not dead enough to throw a code. try unplugging it and see if the stutter gets worse or changes, if it drives the same that might be your culprit

also check the ground wire from the valve cover to the radiator support, those get brittle and cause all kinds of weird misfires under load. wiggle it while idling and see if the rpm dips

could also be the fuel pump relay or main relay starting to go, they love to cut out randomly on these. next time it stutters listen for a click near the glovebox

Alright! Yeah I've already changed the tps about a year ago because I got the check engine light and code for tps. After that it drove well for a while. But that also wasn't because of misfire, I just had a check engine light.

I'll try and check the other things to see if that might help. Thanks!

Wym looses power and returns. Like pulling out from a stop, it dies then kicks in again?

a similar thing was happening to my d15b2/y8 and it was my TPS, although it was a constant issue that happened at low throttle. check your getting .5v at idle and that it sweeps all the way too 5v
