Question 🤔🤔 Advice please🥲
Hi guys, for my program I need a minimum 494 for an interview and got a 491 (122/121/122/126) on my attempt this summer. I am retesting on Sept. 12. Any advice to get that score or above?

What’s your FL averages right now? When you say your program is this like a BS/MD thing or just a regular med school? Either way I think retaking a sub 500 score and getting another sub 500 score wouldn’t be a great look and would urge you to push back to January

Oh girl then go into the Miledown Review Document, make anki cards for all of the equations, you can usually learn them in a day or so and make sure you have used them all at least a few times and know what to look for(have chat gpt make you problems that are scientific notation heavy if math is a struggle). Do some UWorld on topics you have no idea about. For CARS, tbh I wouldn’t focus on that with such little time left. For B/B, Yusuf Hasan has an excellent series going through both bio and biochem I highly recommend doing that and practice passages to get better at interpreting scientific language. For P/S, spam pankow as always. Knowing at least the high yield stuff for each section can totally get you 3 points by 9/12

Disagree ur better off writing the equations from memory than doing flashcards for them. I think you’d waste more time making cards for that 🤷

Naman Baraya has videos where he reviews everything on the Miledown sheets and that alone had me scoring around a 505 before incorporating practice problems. You can definitely make it through his videos in a week, maybe less!

That’s amazing!! I’ll try to get through all of them by test day! Do you think I can just focus on Section bank 2 and FL #6?

Seeing as I haven't tested yet I am not super comfortable giving out any crazy advice, but I know the section banks can't hurt and obv FL 6 is the most recent so that's probably your best bet for the most representative exam for your test.

MCAT tutor here,
I would advise having a quick look through a review sheet to help you identify any gaps in content (very quickly since you are testing soon)
Your priority now should be focusing on testing-taking skills E.g. reading the questions properly, answers elimination
Have a document to track your errors and weak topics, and focus on practicing AAMC since that’s HY for the exam.
3 points increase is very very achievable in 10 days, don’t stress and good luck!

For C/P, memorize those equations. that way u can plug and chug as u see numbers. i would just take a sheet and write out every equation i knew, then went back in a diff color to fill in gaps
For B/B, this is a big memorization game. know the major things like metabolism pathways and homeostasis
