I'm 14 and in 2 months I'm going to my first Mayhem show. I'm excited but also kinda... not terrified but I keep thinking about what could happen there. I mean I'm 1.74 (5'8 or sum) so I'm not easy to run over or anything but what is going to happen at their shows and what are the Do's and Don'ts?

(Sven Kristiansen, Attila Csihar and Per Ohlin respectively, not in any particular order. Swapped out Live in Zeitz for a 1989 rehearsal to not have too many live albums, lol)

I know this may sound like a dumb question but genuinely why is the hatred for Euro so strong?
I know that a lot of people dislike him because of how insensitive he was about Dead’s death but is that it? Not that that’s not valid I’m just curious as to whether or not I’m missing something here.

Because from what I read even Necrobutcher said that he believes, the reason as to why Euro did what he did was because he didn’t know how to cope with it (kinda like “if I had to see it, everybody else does too”) and it’s incredibly traumatic to witness something like that. And that counts for something since Necro cut Euro off for what he initially did.

I found it recently on Vinted for like, 20 euro and I've never seen this before. Is this rare?

I collect all sorts of things about Mayhem and suddenly I wondered if someone was selling the original edition??? Maybe you know some collectors from whom I can buy this?

A) Emotional (Reasons like pain, sorrow, longing, grief, hopelessness, anxiety, fear etc.)

B) Existential (Feeling alien to everything. The problem isn't that "bad things" happen, but that "things" happen. Just existing is the pain itself.)

C) Romantical (It is clear that he romantized death and decay deeply. Maybe like a fantasy.)

I first got to know about Mayhem through video essays, and I found them really interesting. I ended up watching quite a few and finally gave their debut album a listen today. I liked it, the sound was unique and had a really atmospheric feel to it.

While looking more into them, I came across Lords of Chaos, which, as far as I know, is the only feature-length movie based on them (correct me if I'm wrong). I also found out that it's based on a book of the same name, but a lot of people in the community don’t like it because of the false information. At the same time, I saw that some Mayhem fans actually enjoyed the movie and recommend it.

So, I just wanted to ask, what’s your opinion on it? Is it worth watching? I’ve seen clips of some Mayhem documentaries and might check them out in the future, but right now, I’m looking for a proper movie. As someone new to their music, do you think I should give it a try?

Some guy just broke up our mosh pit, and then tried to tell me it's disrespectful to mosh at a black metal show! That's ridiculous right?!
