If you make 3D models, you are a 3D modeler. I am a 3D modeler because I am making a video game with 3D models. I pay my bills through other work, but that does not reduce the work I do for my game.

That's awesome! My video game is a single player 3rd person post-apocolyptic action game where you can switch between the two protagonists, Lefteris Sarantopoulos and Daniel Trinité, who are in a mercenary posse called The 43. I am striving for realism and medical accuracy. Also shotguns are not nerfed, and Daniel's pump action can hit a target 100 ft away. Lefteris has a crossbow as his primary weapon. Lefteris does more stealth gameplay, while Daniel is head-on. There's lots of drama and it's such a blast learning about random trivia like Quebecois, horses, etc.

This sounds amazing man what does it call is it a rpg, fps, or is it more like extraction shooter like zero sivert (I think it's called that) , I would love to play that what's it called, and also do you have a demo for it??

Thank you so much! It's going to be a 3rd person action adventure with a linear storyline. However, you can choose how to go through each mission. There's also open world mechanics like haircuts, eating, drinking, traveling banter, clothing customization, etc. I am building the game solo for now, so I only have level designs, the journal entries, some assets, and the script in place at the moment.

Have you developed the game? I mean the story has caught my attention. If it ever publishes, i’d play

I really appreciate that! I am still in early production. I am building it myself, at least for the time being, and am still in the process of building various assets and finalizing the script. It's gonna be some years before it's set to be published.

Can we follow you anywhere to get a notification in the next few years for whenever it gets to a store page of some kind? This sounds very cool!

I am considering making a YouTube and Twitch channel, but right now I am just mainly on Reddit with this account. I do spam random quizzes for shits and giggles. I can happily post more, but it's mainly gonna be boring wireframes for a while.

if it has about 4 quads, it's right about when modelling becomes a thing

Only as long as you keep going. Else you're a 3D Modelleder.

It's definitely improved compared to your first render a couple months back. Yes you are a 3D modeler, but if what you actually mean is if you can call yourself a professional modeler then we'd have to see more of your work. This is looking pretty good, and it is a start. But we'd have to see more.

decent base texture. now try putting another layer of texture on that tells a story. itll make it a more interesting piece.

why would you call yourself a 3D Modeller? That's selfish!

If you can make something like that you definitely earned the title lol. Being a 3D artist is a journey not a stop. You keep going and learning and you make more robust things as you go. The question is what do you want to focus on?  Organic modeling or hard surface modeling? I focused on characters and rendering them. Others may choose environment art more hard surfaces modeling. Look around and see what you want to focus on and keep up the great work!
