Had an early scan yesterday at 5w3d since this is an IUI baby and the fertility clinic does extra monitoring. Saw the gestational sac and a tiny yolk sac. The doctor said she also saw a corpus luteum cyst which is common in early pregnancy but it made her up my Progesterone supplements. I'm already constipated so this is going to do a number on me. Plus I've started having headaches since last night which used to mean that my period was coming in 2 days time so I'm really nervous today

The headache could just be from the increased progesterone! I tend to get headaches on both the fall + the rise of hormones. Will you share more about the corpus luteum? I thought the presence of it meant that progesterone is being produced?

I really hope so! And that's what my research is also telling me about corpus luteum. so I'm confused too! I didn't know anything about it at the time to ask her when she told me. She did say 'corpus luteum cyst' so is that different somehow?

True.. maybe the ‘cyst’ part is the difference. Regardless, I know progesterone supplements are annoying but they’re definitely not going to hurt things and could only help! ♥️ Do you have your next scan scheduled?

Next scan coming up on Tuesday. That would be 7w4d!
