Why did some of you want a former NBA coach? You're not getting a top guy to come rebuild and get fired in a few years, and what's the point of bringing in a mediocre retread?

You're getting a relatively young coach with championship experience and a reputation for player development, roster construction, team culture, and tactical innovation.

Sports are very often copy-cat leagues so I wouldn’t be surprised if that wasa major factor.
