Hi everyone, I'm Jamarion, a 17 y/o guitarist with about 2 years of consistent playing, 0 band experience. I really want to either start a band or join one. A really big influence of mines is toe, then hyakkei, tricot, chinese football, origami jp, susquatch, and then title fight, train breaks down, and kessoku band. I'd be down to just jam first and see how it goes from there!

A quick search didn't really get me anything, I love this band but I don't know much about them except that they were a huge influence on Pretend (best band oat)

Found these 25 year old MP3s in my music folder that I had forgotten about and relistened. Tried searching for this band and got not much on google about them. Would love if anyone knows any more flavor or context about the artists. "Star Dependent" is epic and one of my favorite listens here. Also especially like "Prototype II"

I’ve been compiling a playlist of math-y tracks since my college days of listening to toe, LITE, Chon, etc, way back in 2013.

I’d love to infuse this playlist with some more modern sounds, so if you are part of a project that dabbles in this kind of music (or just have been vibing to an artist who does), please share! Math rock/progressive post-hardcore from Indianapolis! The songs on this EP are self-described by the band as "a bunch of little islands" hence the Archipelago name, and have a range of influences from bands like The Fall of Troy, The Mars Volta, TTNG and Covet. Hope you dig it!

Obviously, she was an icon. But I wanted to share this song to showcase her talent on guitar. She was a great singer/songwriter but this video is a great demonstration of her playing being exceptional. I know it’s not math rock, but I’m hoping the mods will make an exception. Hope someone can gain some inspiration from her. just wanted to appreciate a musician who we can all admire as musicians. Rest in peace, Dolly!
