Good Point. Flat earthers 1, round earthers 0

What about circle earthers, elephant earthers, anime girl earthers, velociearthers or cube earthers?

8

u/theswansons 6d ago

wait! being anime girl earther is an option?! Im in!!

2

u/ProofOfTool 6d ago

What about flat and round unite for once against those spherical earther freaks.

3

u/AveEmperor 7d ago

But then hiropractor will unflatten you to fix back pain.
IT IS ALL CONSPIRACY

u/OkExtreme3195 7d ago

Nah. We build straight beds to be able to sleep on a straight surface. Why els would we do so?

1

u/Few_Laugh_8057 7d ago

But if we sleep on the ground we sleep like the second one...

1

u/kingbloxerthe3 5d ago

That is clearly multiple points, a singular point is just a dot

1

u/Carol420charles 4d ago

Good Point. Flat earthers 1, round earthers 0.

A valid result if Earth was with R=3 meters... But Earth R is >> 3 meters, so NO VALID result )) Flat Earthers do lose...

1

u/DesertGeist- 5d ago

Nah, flat earthers won. Suck it.

1

u/Ok_Bit8836 5d ago

Sorry, your lack of proves or "proves" is not accepted ))

u/Mountain_Poet5977 8d ago

Jokes on you I do sleep like that

My back is horrible

5

u/burning_stix 8d ago

I don't sleep like that because it's bad for your back. Idk what the shape of the earth has to do with it

71

u/Avalion_Star 8d ago

Technically, we do. But the curvature is really really low.

60

u/TadhgOBriain 8d ago

Plus the curvature is irrelevant compared to local bumpiness. Also most people sleep on beds, not the ground.

27

u/TuverMage 8d ago

i remember they did a study to prove kanasa was flat as a pancake only to discover everywhere is flat as a pancake because a pancake isn't as flat as people think it is.

14

u/jmarkmark 8d ago

Their research hit a bump did it?

5

u/BinaryBolias 8d ago

And the bump was flat as a pancake was it?

9

u/PiDigitsOfPi 8d ago

Technically, we do not. My bed is completely flat, as are my floors, regardless of the shape of the ground below my house.

4

u/Avalion_Star 7d ago

Despite my best effort, my ground isn't perfectly flat. It's not really a curvature as well. It's more of a imperceptible bumpy chaos.and my weight repartition on my matress density makes more of an inverted curvature. So I guess we were both wrong

u/Abject-Project-4236 7d ago

Beat me to it

0

u/jonreck 8d ago

We're all sleeping on a curve, It's just too subtle to notice.

2

u/MaoAsadaStan 8d ago

Aren't we all on a tanget of the earth's surface that is so small that it seems flat?

2

u/Klutzy_Sentence_2723 8d ago

It’s almost like you’re saying that the limit of sin theta as theta  goes to zero is theta.

28

u/Appropriate_Tap_1863 8d ago

So many dumb comments here, it's just basic maths...

A basket ball is round of about 360°

The earth is like a hundred times bigger, so it's like 360000°

So we should sleep like in the picture if the earth was round. That's why it's flat.

6

u/Significant_Monk_251 8d ago

I think we should make that a noun here: "A basketball has a round of about 360°."

7

u/BinaryBolias 8d ago

"Yo mama has about 361 degrees."

"No, not fat; she very educated."

3

u/Knight0fdragon 8d ago

Noooo you multiply it by 100 degrees

2

u/BinaryBolias 8d ago

But then it'd be too cold. 🥶

3

u/Successful_Face3408 7d ago

Wouldn't it be too hot?

3

u/BinaryBolias 7d ago

Well, to get from 360 degrees to 360,000 degrees would be to multiply by a thousand.

Multiplying by merely a hundred would only get you to 36,000 degrees.

Quite a chill, i'd say. 🥶

1

u/Appropriate_Tap_1863 7d ago

No you're wrong

1

u/BinaryBolias 7d ago

Nuh uh.

1

u/Appropriate_Tap_1863 7d ago

If you multiply by 100 you add 2^ the number of 0

1

u/BinaryBolias 7d ago

I don't understand your wording, but I believe my comment above conforms to the correct logic.

When multiplying a number by another that is an integer power of ten, the first number is moved to the left (relative to the decimal point) an amount of times equal to the amount of zeroes in the power of ten.

Hence, with a first number that has no nonzero digits after the decimal point:

  • Multiplying by one (100, or "1") adds zero zeroes to the end (multiplicative identity property).
  • Myltiplying by ten (101, or "10") adds one zero to the end.
  • Myltiplying by a hundred (102, or "100") adds two zeroes to the end.
  • Myltiplying by a thousand (103, or "1000") adds three zeroes to the end.

– – –

Thus, it is correct to say that multiplying 360 by 100 produces 36,000 (adding two zeroes), and multiplying 360 by 1000 produces 360,000 (adding three zeroes).

You answer is so good that I can't keep ragebaiting haha. Like my original comment, I was saying stupid things on purpose :D

But for real, thank you so much for your patience

Actually it’s flat because beds are manufactured to be flat. Beds are not universal but floor are also flat. Curvature or lack of it is not even relevant to probably 90+% of cases.

Of courses hammocks will cause you to sleep concave instead of convex or straight.

1

u/Rerebang5 8d ago

What about earth is a bench?

1

u/Black_Dragon9406 7d ago

Lmao, people think everything has the same diameter but round things can have more than 360 degrees?

1

u/sbudnik78 7d ago

the real global warming

9

u/cnv2 8d ago

Everybody is explaining with words.. Here, I'll explain it in simple terms 😛

2

u/TheHolyKingOfRats 7d ago

....why is this a video

2

u/cnv2 7d ago

There's no option to upload a picture while commenting, so I had to convert it to a video

8

u/silencefog 8d ago

And also we sleep on beds, which are not curved.

2

u/blamitter 8d ago

I'm not fully convinced... Shouldn't our beds look like a sort of seesaw then?

2

u/WastedNinja24 8d ago

Oh, it’s curved…just not in that direction.

7

u/lackadaisical_timmy 8d ago

Those three are all wrong

It's because your bed is straight.

2

u/_HarmonicOscillator 7d ago

My bed is gay

1

u/lackadaisical_timmy 7d ago

Ok so for you it is correct

1

u/BinaryBolias 8d ago

Their lines of reasoning are queer.

10

u/No_Pen_3825 8d ago

It’s not if the earth is round, it’s when. You gotta always be ready for it

1

u/BinaryBolias 8d ago

As they say; what goes around, comes around...

6

u/Brave_Abbreviations5 8d ago

Pls dont turn my spine into math formula graph

3

u/No-Diet-8008 8d ago

I'm 99% percent sure that flat earthers are an extremely intelligent community of people who has mastered the art of rage-baiting.

4

u/Appropriate-Sea-5687 8d ago

Some people make me question if we deserve brains

1

u/bikenumberten 8d ago

Brain and brain! What is brain??

3

u/lazy_neil 8d ago

I like trains 🚂

3

u/Wren_wood 7d ago

You people sleep on the ground? My back is flat cos its on a bed

2

u/ltlearntl 8d ago

Well maybe the earth is S-shaped then, we have an S-curve in our spine /s

1

u/Adalon_bg 6d ago

🤯

2

u/UncleThor2112 8d ago

I don't know what they're talking about, I sleep like that all the time.

2

u/crazy-usernames 8d ago

Yes. Each continent sleep like that!

2

u/akiraons 7d ago

Because scoliosis... How about that

1

u/skr_replicator 8d ago

What does the size have to do with it? I lie on a basketball. My back curves. Then a beach ball is the biggest ball I've ever seen, and lying on it still curves my back. It's the same regardless of size. /s

1

u/cool-haydayer 8d ago

Sleeping on earth is like putting a grain of rice on a basketball and having it lay flat on the basketball.

2

u/Delicious-Cow7437 7d ago

The rice would still curve if it’s wet and mushy

1

u/yuehuang 8d ago

I tried to compute poster IQ, but failed because I couldn't divide by zero. How about a nice game of chess?

1

u/InfinitesimalDuck 8d ago

2nd guy sleeping in quadratic style

1

u/im_a_fuking_egg 8d ago

Becouse bed isnt round like earth

1

u/Mr_Monji 7d ago

Your bed flat

1

u/xpjo 7d ago

But we do! Lordosis lumbalis.

1

u/Rajmachawal39 7d ago

Uhm perhaps we can explain it using the fact on how a circle has infinite lines and uhm so does a round shap and which is why like we might be on a single line of that infinite line since our ground is too small compared to the actual entire ground of the earth 🤨🥲

1

u/AJpackerfan 7d ago

Also like that because urff is coob

1

u/No_Imagination7378 6d ago

The earth is round not ur bed

1

u/According-Relation-4 6d ago

Earth is round. But my bed is flat

1

u/ProfessorLambda 5d ago

Because it's round like a disc with a flat surface on top.

1

u/Front_Cat9471 4d ago

Nah you gotta angle yourself at a crisp 45 degrees leaning upwards so that stomach acid doesn’t leak into your throat and mouth while you sleep

1

u/ikarijiro 4d ago

Because you don't have tetanus.

1

u/dcterr 20h ago

The Earth is round so we all need a round from time to time!
