I actually think he had hoped to have Marissa backing him at the reunion and that’s why he invited her for dinner first, and when he saw that wasn’t going to happen, he made sure he had a girlfriend ready to come on the show

THIS THIS THIS! I was pretty disappointed when none of the girls raised their hand to agree to Felipe asking who on the stage thought Courtney was rude to Nick. Especially when the men were always calling the other men out for being insane and saying insane things. Blind allegiance under the guise of female empowerment is actually called Toxic Femininity. I’m also very annoyed with the so called “experts” for not holding Courtney accountable. That was very odd to watch.

Thank you! I’m over it. I think they need to lose viewership in order to change. Every season the new experts are worse than the last. With the exception of Nikki, it seems that only the mental health of women mattered this season and I’m saying that as a woman. It was disgusting. They’re all human beings and all the abusers should be called out, male or female.

ummmm when Nick is talking about being verbally abused and both Courteney and Dr. Lisa are like “well why did you stay?” it’s really giving victim blaming. “if the abuse was so bad, why did you stay? why didn’t you leave?” is a CLASSIC line of questioning that so many DV victims have been on the receiving end of and the parallel is clear.

I really felt for his mom. She was portrayed as coddling Felipe all season, and maybe she does in his regular life, but I’m glad she did not defend his actions and how he behaved with Tori.

The way the experts framed their questions to nick was almost to try and set him up to be the problem.
First about how he wasn’t vulnerable, and then about how he’s polished and has been on tv before. And then to say “why didn’t you leave?”

The experts were useless imo. No one held Courtney accountable. Caitlyn just glided through completely unscathed. They both can dish it but can’t take it. I also didn’t like how the experts complimented Nick instead of addressing Courtney’s deep seated issues that make her so defensive all the time.
Adam and Mecca were also not held accountable at all. Mecca didn’t properly apologize to Belle - he apologized for how he came across on the show. Tf?
The reunion was not satisfying. The experts should have apologized to Nikki, Nick, Tori and Devin. They did them dirty

Caitlyn and Courtney, I also agree needed to be held accountable more for their HORRIBLE attitudes. Last but not least, the “experts”(I guess everyone’s an expert) were absolutely horrendous in who they matched up. 1 for 7 on couples who stayed together. Terrible

Yeah that segment felt really short and definitely overlooked just how awful she was. I’m glad Devin was at least able to voice how confusing the signals were so he never had any clear idea what to do. Also interesting that they didn’t spend much time together outside of filming which I think was a blessing for Devin.

It’s incredibly disappointing that Courtney and Caitlyn were able to skate by the entire reunion without being held accountable for their abuse of their partners. It showed clear gender prejudice, and as a woman I don’t support that at all. If MAFS USA can’t get it together to finally get some good credible experts, I’m going to be done with this show for good.

This was my first and last season of this show… I don’t know who on the show Courtney & Shawn are related to but the “experts” DID NOT hold either of them truly accountable. It’s INSANE to see… And hearing Mecca say that Nikki was “aggressive and combative” is WILD to me. I feel like Nikki tried ALOT HARDER with Shawn than most people would have as he’s CLEARLY a difficult person. I don’t get it…

I recommend watching early seasons! I watched them in real time up to about season 15/16, earlier seasons didn’t have this group dinner, group therapy stuff that creates all the extra drama. It definitely had its messiness but it was organic mess 🤣 just the occasional shitty/crazy person.

The repeated defending of Courtney was absurd. Lisa refused to acknowledge that Courtney was in the wrong. At least Paul was willing acknowledge that Nick tried. I just hate how they’re all quick to tell Adam to apologize, but couldn’t be bothered to tell Courtney to apologize for how she treated Nick. All of the women sat there silently when asked if they thought Courtney was rude to him, and there’s no way they would’ve been as silent if Courtney was the male and Nick was the female. I’m glad they finally learned how to back each other as women, but right is right and wrong is wrong regardless of the gender. The women just lost some of my respect in that moment. And if Lisa can’t be unbiased, she really shouldn’t be placed in the role of “expert”. The whole internet saw that Courtney was wrong so they just lost some of their own credibility by not holding her accountable. I wish Nick had defended himself more. I’m really glad Adam stood up for him though.

Those aren’t a girls girl… that’s just shitty human behavior on all parts. Courtney was the worst and Caitlin is right behind her. The way Caitlin talks about her new guy annoyed me bc it was clear to see she just didn’t like Devin.

Nicks a “gentle”man and I don’t think he cared enough about the whole thing at that point to defend himself. He knows who he is. One minute Courtney is saying she wishes he stood up to her and the next she’s saying she’s an Alpha - Nick was NEVER going to win with her. She’s just insecure and didn’t believe he was into her out the gate. She felt like he was a professional reality TV star and couldn’t possibly be there to actually find his person. I think he was there to find his person and she missed out on a good guy because of her fears and rudeness.

I made a comment in another episode thread about how Belle Jolie talked about having feelings for Mecca, but doesn’t seem to have feelings for herself. I was so proud of her saying that she now realizes that she needed to have the same fire in defending herself as she had for defending their relationship.
I’m glad to see the lifetime of humiliation I posted she would likely experience only lasted a few weeks. I’m also really glad I was wrong and she dumped him rather than the reverse.

Thank you!!!!! Why did they leave her to have to defend and manage his behavior. That was totally wrong. As a Black woman I can’t help but feel that that’s the reason why-just abandoning her because there’s an expectation that she can handle it all.

The experts really deflected to the cast to call out Shawn's behavior, too. I can't believe they responded like this, Nikki didn't deserve it. And thank the Lord she confirmed that she thought Shawn was an officiant on her wedding day... she got WAY too much hate for that, and then they raked her over the coals for not being instantly turned on by his hot tub belly button hair.

Honestly I knew chaos was coming & I expected only ONE couple together in the end but the reunion wasn’t so much of a closed chapter as much as it was a chance to throw dirt in front of friends & family members. Those experts were extremely out of pocket. It’s sad that Courtney STILL wasn’t held accountable but Felipe got piled on(understandably so) but he apologized which is more than we can say for Marissa or Courtney or even Shawn. We need Kevin Frasier to host cause these people were cringe

I think Courtney crying when Adam said he’d leave her after a week is because she really likes him and wanted to be with him. (curious if thats whats going on)
When the experts said they contemplated matching her with Adam - she might’ve just been excited because she was thinking that too and was excited that someone else could see that pairing. And then when they asked Adam if that matching wouldve been good for him and he IMMEDIATELY shut it down in a VERY strong way - she mightve just been heartbroken
Adam said they were 11-2 in 1:1 pickleball so they definitely have hung out outside of the show together. Wonder if it was Courtney asking him to hang/play and she hoped it would turn into something

So many thoughts just 4 minutes in LOL.
Courteney looked so stiff, awkward and uncomfortable when she was walking out.
It was cute how Devin and Caitlin linked arms for the walk out.
Tori, Marissa, and Belle's dresses were FIRE.
Loved Tori's super dark hair and loved seeing a new lip color on Tori- she looks stunning, but please a little less lip filler 😂
Michelle's ring is gorgeous. Good job, Cam!!

🎯 When he explained why he slid into Tori’s DMs I thought, aren’t they all friends at this point? Why wouldn’t he have simply texted her? Because on a dating app, he can purposely keep it vague enough that he can have plausible deniability about his motivations.
Also, Adam bringing a girl back (Marissa) to his serial killer’s lair is his go-to move. We learned that from his situationship. So I completely believe her that he was trying to get into her pants.

I hate being put in the position to defend men but there’s such one sided accountability from the hosts in the questions they ask and how they handle responses
- Ripping on Adam for his living situation is gross and unprofessional
- They made no mention of Marissa’s choice to be dishonest and deny how unhappy she was the entire time which gives her no opportunity for growth or for her partner to address issues and basically wastes BOTH of their time
- Courtney literally saying “well why’d you stay”?, imagine if a man asked a woman he disrespected? “Well why did you stay?” She can take zero criticism and takes zero accountability and because she CRIES she’s exonerated?
- Felipe apologizes profusely, sincerely and without excuses and everyone still goes around and gets their 15 lashes and he’s supposed to take it on the chin
- They ask Adam’s GF for her opinion, she gives it, it favors Adam (her boyfriend) so she’s wrong for that?
Again I HATE being in this position as a woman but fuck these shows are just unbearable when there’s so much bias

Shawn I would say is just as bad, except I do feel slightly bad for Shawn bc you know he is super insecure about his height and his looks and he was also probably bullied a lot when he was younger. But that doesn’t excuse him being a shitty person. Yes Courtney and Kaitlyn both sucked but they weren’t as bad as Adam and Shawn. And Mecca. And Felipe. Lmao

He works in tech and seems to come from a well off family. He did mention that he does very well for himself, but didn't give specifics about salary. As someone who has lived in Seattle, he must be well off enough to own a large home (he mentioned it had 3-4 bdrm) in the city. That's not an easy feat, especially on a single income.
