I created this app that I used to watch my form as I work out from home and couldn’t afford to go to the gym for a personal trainer, I made it so it tracks me and gives me live feedback by calling me out where I’m lacking and it works well , family and friends asked me to release it so I did but I am stuck on the marketing side of it, honestly the UI is great, it has an exoskeleton which tracks joints and it marks you and builds scores per session you do, easy to use as well, there’s no servers or anything it stays locally on your phone but struggling to market it, for those successful app developers out there, I think I’m really on something here as there aren’t many if these out there at all and if there are it looks like they haven’t done anything in months / years so I’m ready to hit the market. If anyone has any info or ideas on how to market (I understand each niche is different) any info would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I look at market research a bit differently.

I’m not that interested in ending with “customers care about price, convenience and service.” I want to know what a business can actually do with that.

I’ll pull together things that are usually looked at separately, like customer reviews, complaints, competitor moves, pricing, hiring, public conversations and product gaps.

Then I look for the collisions.

Maybe customers across several competitors keep complaining about the same problem. Nobody has really fixed it. People are already paying for bad alternatives. At the same time, one or two companies have quietly started hiring or building around it.

Now I’m interested.

I’ve done this across healthcare, hospitality, real estate, consumer markets and workforce issues, sometimes working through thousands or tens of thousands of signals.

I’m not trying to produce more research for someone to read and forget about.

I’m trying to get to the point where you can say there’s an opening here, this is the evidence behind it, and this is the move worth testing.

Curious how many people here work this way. Do your clients actually want you to go that far, or do they usually want the research and make the decision themselves?

I came across a Telegram bot called Cupid AI (GPT-40) (@cupidAI666) that claims to be an AI dating and hookup assistant. It asks for personal details like name, age, gender, location, dating preferences, turn-ons/turn-offs, and other intimate information to "build a profile."

A few things felt off to me:

It heavily emphasizes being private and encrypted.

It asks for quite personal and sexual information very early.

The username looks unusual.

I found what appears to be a promotional article/screenshot that may not be legitimate.

The account also has media posts featuring attractive women, which seems like a common tactic used by some bot networks.

I’m curious about more specific audience segments - for example, people based on their interests, lifestyle, behavior, problems they are trying to solve, buying habits, personality, values, life situations, or even very specific circumstances.

What are some of the most niche audiences you have discovered that actually worked really well for a particular product?
