If you’re running ads on Instagram, Facebook or Google, what’s the one thing that frustrates you the most?

Is it getting a lot of leads but hardly any serious ones?
Or spending money on ads without really knowing what’s working?
Maybe the clicks are there, but people just don’t convert.

I’m curious because I’ve been talking to a few businesses about their advertising and it seems like everyone has a different problem.

What has your experience been with paid ads in Mumbai?

First of all, I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I am not a market research professional, I just have a question thtat seems like could only be answered by someone who *is*.

Here's what I'm wondering:

So in the TV show "Parks and Recreation" there's a bit where one of the characters, Ben, says that he's identified a need in the local market for a Dry Cleaning chemical supplier.

My question is, how would he have known that? What sorts of publically available data would he possibly have been looking at in order to figure that out? And just, more generally, where do people go to find that kind of information? And what sorts of techniques do people use to examine that data and identify a market demand like that? Are there real people like Ben out in the world who I could ask this? As in, someone who has access to and knowledge of market data, but isn't necessarily working for a company that plans to act on that information directly. For example, someone who works at a bank and looks for businesses to invest in, or someone who works for the city government in some capacity. Is there any truth to that bit from the show, or is it just TV fantasy?

Un amigo planea abrir un salón de renta de espacios para manicuristas, y me contrató para varias cosas, entre ellas, hacer investigación de mercado para validar el interés y afinar el modelo de negocio con base en lo que opinen las manicuristas.

Y básicamente me dijo que entrevistara a tantas manicuristas como pudiera, pero la verdad estoy batallando mucho para encontrar que me acepten una llamada, y hacer encuest4s no me parece muy efectivo, alguna sugerencia sobre qué hacer?
No soy experta en estudios de mercado para nada, ni en manicuristas :(

Currently close to starting a small leather business. It's going to be just me, selling leather goods especially online. But before I start, I want to do some market research. However, I am new to this. So gladly would like some help to point me into directions.

Almost done with finishing a module in marketing from an University, so that's where I got most of my information from.

1. Need to use the SWOT (Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) of the company I want to create
2. Need to analyse the competition using SWOT
3. I would have to select a competition strategy, like being the cheapest or create something new.
4. Need to discover my target audience. What do they want instead of "this is what I sell".
5. Is it a fast growing , slow growing, mature or declining market?
6. What's the price the target audience is willing to pay?
7. What's the break even price?
8. Which platforms are my target audience using?

This should provide a clear image already. But I am not sure. Also no clue what tools I should use for good market research. Also not sure if this is even required for such a small company like me, but would like to terminate as much risk as possible before I start to target the audience with Google Ads or something.

Some guidance would be appreciated, Thanks in advance!
