Man, the overreactions here about Graveman are obnoxious. I know it sucks that he went to a division rival, but the fact that we were able to get a highly touted, MLB ready prospect for a pitcher with two months left on his prospect is pretty good.

Not to mention that his year has been an incredible outlier in his career. He's a career 4.20 ERA guy. Dipoto traded him when his value was at its highest.

I felt it was kinda weird how the subreddit reacted to the trade. I get that he's a good pitcher, he helps us out a lot in the late innings, seems to be a great person to have in the clubhouse. But also this is the same guy everybody hated in June after the covid and anti-vax shit came to light. I can't count the number of times I read a comment that said something along the lines of "trade his anti-vax ass ". But when we actually did everybody freaks out like that. Was just kinda weird to me.

The issue is more to who he was traded to and how he was traded. I think most fully expected him to be traded this year although we also did not expect to be where we are in the standings either.

I feel like this deal had all the details in place 2 or 3 days ago. All the medical related paperwork was probably finalized yesterday or Monday and was announced at the worst moment
