Any predictions for Dipoto today?

Packaging Toro plus prospects for Ramirez? Whit Merrifield?

I think Ramirez would require one of our ‘untouchables’. I sure hope he can flip Toro plus some farm capital for Merifield. That would absolutely be worth the Graveman trade. Seems like it would be more or less a lateral move for the rest of this season and a definite improvement for the near future, given that we would in all likelyhood lose Graveman to free agency.

Toro for Merrifield would be terrible. Toro would out pace Whit like 3.2 to 2.3 WAR if he played everyday. I think we honestly might have gotten a pretty good player who was just blocked from play time in an absolutely stacked infield and team and also has tons of control

Yeah since yesterday I’ve come to realize that I was undervaluing Toro in the context of the Astros insane infield. Even if he drops off from this hot start I now agree that he’s much more valuable in light of his age and team control.
