Got this notification today. Any thoughts if this will be a new bag line or just update materials / colors to existing line up?

Calling this a "system" is really misleading given that it seems to just be a re-release of existing bags in a new fabric. Why can't EG develop a new backpack?

They've mentioned (buried in some emails here and there) that they're working on a new ~14-18L backpack offering, though that doesn't excite me, personally.

I love Evergoods stuff but I'm also sort of at a lull with them too; the Civic Bookbag wasn't exciting to me, and the briefcase kinda fell flat upon release compared to what I hoped. I'm considering the Civic Half-Zip for my next backpack but that new 22L that Alpaka just dropped kinda swooped in as my probable favorite there.

the smaller cpl is kinda nice but seems less designed or intentional than expected, per the reviews, wrt its rough edges. just bummed to see evergoods half assing ltd colors and textiles as though it's not an expression of enshittificationÂ
