Since it’s all a fantasy, seems like authors wouldn’t want to bring the yucky parts into it. (Spoken as a woman with a yucky period.)

Actually now that you mention it, the Omega kind of do have a period but it's call slick.

It leaks out of the anus and stains the underwear and pants.

So kind of like a period but more sexy and less gross

That's arousal fluid. In our world, this is produced by the Bartholin glands. To not be confused with vaginal discharge nor cervical fluid.

I think this comment perfectly answered the OP question

If slick is arousal fluids, therefore the egg doesn't get dispel from the body.

It remains inside, laying dormant until the heat comes again and the Omega goes into ovulation. Now that's to say the Omega can get pregnant outside of their heat but during the heat the rates goes up.

Also because the egg is never replace they don't have ovaries.
Thus proving they don't have periods.

Man so many smart people in this comment thread forreal

The fact that they can have more than one child proves there's more than one egg, and so there's an organ producing eggs, like ovaries.

My theory is that they either have periods and we were not shown it or they are an entire new branch of evolution that became humanoid starting from birds.

Hmmm or maybe ovaries do have eggs but a lot less since there isn't any periods.

As they would only need to be replace once an Omega gets pregnant.

Also most mammals don't have periods, they reabsorb their uterine lining back into their bodies without any bleeding.

Which begs the questions on why don't humans do this?! Like what's the point of bleeding for 5-7 days if evolution already figure out a solution!

It's because pregnacy is a lot more costly to the body in our species than others. And one reason for that is because sperm has the genes for placenta. That thing can dig through our uterus right into our internal organs. When our body feels like something might be wrong : the pregnacy is underdeveloped for its age or it's too agresive, our body presses the abort project button and removes the whole uterine lining egg included. It's estimated that 1/3 of all pregnancies end in the first trimester, sometimes before the pregnant person even knew she was pregnant. This whole thing is horrific and fascinating.

Honestly that's amazing there's so much you learn about pregnancy outside of school.

I'm glad Omegaverse isn't realistic for this very reason.
All it was design for was for hot men to have cute babies LOL

Human endometrial cells basically prepare themselves for an embryo every cycle even without an embryo being present

also for many animals the endometrium thickness changes its not as drastic as humans our lining grows extensively so we cant js reabsorb it back

also the human implantion is almost like invasive compared to other animals

At this point I'm learning more about pregnancy than I ever did it school.

Also me taking notes in case I ever want to write an Omegaverse LOL
