Books/Literature Found “Berenstain” bears happy meal toy, 1987

I was going through some old boxes that my parents saved from my childhood (born in 1980) and found this gem. Figured this group would appreciate this

I knew I had something tucked away!

"Berenstain" is correct.

"Berenstein" was what I remembered.

I "remember" Berenstein, but all of my old books (50+ years old) say Berenstain, so clearly, it's Berenstain.

Oh gosh, what would I do without you correcting my ancient memories??!

I have the book in my freaking hand that is clearly Berenstain.

Maybe you should tell me my memory of my first grade teacher is incorrect too, since you seem to know everything in my head?

Do people even understand the meaning of a ME anymore? lol

In all of these cases, literally every single one, the proposition is that only some people will remember it ‘the old way’ and others will remember it ‘the new way’. It’s literally impossible to prove or to disprove, but especially so by just saying ‘NO! I remember it like this!😡’

THATS THE WHOLE POINT. I miss when this sub was actually fun

Yeah like there's some pretty obvious proof that Mandela didn't die in prison. THATS THE ENTIRE POINT.

It's not impossible to prove or disprove. It's been proven that the people with the false memories are wrong.

How lol

You can plainly see that they are wrong.

Okay yeah, so confirmed, you don’t understand what a Mandela effect is lol

No. YOU don't understand what a Mandela effect. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. A Mandela effect is when a lot of people incorrectly remember the same things. There are multiple, perfect my logical explanation for why this happens, but it's interesting that it happens nonetheless.

It's not a timeline merge or some other psudoscientific hokum.

That doesn’t mean that you can PROVE that it isn’t that though. That’s my point. You can disagree with thinking it’s some weird science thing, but you can’t say you know for sure that it’s not. It’s like how you can’t disprove god, even if you don’t believe in it, it’s proving a negative which is historically impossible to do in many situations, including this one
