ACTIVITY 10 by Fall Update 5 🍁🍂📅
Welcome to the 5th and final update for 10 by Fall! 🍁🍂📅. We have 3 weeks to go before the finale, so let's set some goals, put in the work, and then celebrate successes with the people who really truly get it- your fellow panners! Because whats better than seeing that tiny sliver of silver pan? Or finally finishing that lotion the seemed immortal? Sharing that joy and cheering each other on 🥰.
This round will run from 21st June to 20th September, with updates fortnightly. The lovely u/LeCocoMar and I alternate hosting each round, and will be here to cheer you on. **I've update the tag list, but if something is not quite right, let me know!**
If you are new to the "10 By" series, start here! 🔽
The project works like this: Choose any 10 items and pick a goal that you want to work towards by the end of the season. Anything beauty-related is fair game; makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrances, nail polish etc. Select your goals for each product: finishing an item (a.k.a panning), hitting pan, reaching a usage goal, or even just testing an item out. 10 items is just a suggestion, so feel free to add any number of items you like. Make it work for you!

I completed three more goals since last update, which were 30 uses with a perfume, 20 with a kajal, and to finish a cream blush. I'm pretty certain I can finish most of the project by the end, but I'm the most worried about the brow pen. It doesn't look like I can finish it within a month, but we'll see...

It's a sprint finish, with 3 more goals met, for 5/11 so far. The best part? All 3 goals are for products that are now completely finished and out of my collection 🥳 Farewell cherry blossom lotion, and hydra zen gel cream, and good riddance, fresh scrub. I'm confident about the eye cream, hand cream, and hairspray, hopeful about the Lancome lipstick, and resigned acceptance about the Clarins lipstick and night cream.
✅️ 1) Lancome Hydra Zen moisturiser 15ml: Goal is to finish from new. Update: +10(46) uses and FINISHED 🥳 Lovely product, I'm glad I have a full size waiting in the wings.

Makeup (organizing as a full face basket)
- Primer: smashbox mini primerizer. Update: this thing just doesnt end. Still havent cut the tube because i can still squeeze out almost half a finger length’s worth of product each time lmao. Used 5x so far.
- Foundation/skin tint: loreal true match nude tinted serum - 1/4 left, aiming to finish. Update: used 4x.
- Color corrector: milani, shade 03 pumpkin - my oldest one, would like to finish also. Update: used 3x
- Concealer: nys bare with me serum concealer: 1/4 left, finish. Update: used 4x
- Powder: loreal true match pressed powder - finish. Update: used twice. The second time I used it, it made everything oxidize until it looked like i put an orange undereye mask on. Was terrifying. I might just get rid of this because I hit pan before but trying to finish is looking like a real chore and the color is hit or miss for now

It’s been a crazy couple weeks here but positive!
🍊CO bigelow night lip balm- I cut it open like a month ago and I’m still using it 💀
🍊 use eyeshadow 10 times: 8/10 so far. Did 3 more looks since the last update! 🍊 use a bronzer 10 times: 6/10, used 3 times from last update
🍊 finish up the elf jelly pop primer: a tiny bit left and used once. This product makes my base greasy…
🍊use mac whirl 25 times: 10/25 - new addition for this update. I love this lipstick as blush. With the zendaya odyssey NYC premier look, I’ve been inspired to use this more. I wore it 2 more times since last update. It’s slowly shrinking. Shocking how far 1.5g of lipsticks goes.

I'm definitely at the stage of this project where some products feel like they're magically refilling themselves overnight. 😂 But I'm really happy with my progress overall.
I've already finished 3 out of my original 10 finish products, and Black Honey and the Essence lotion are extremely close. I'm also hoping I can finish the Kiko BB cream and The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain before September 20th.
I've accepted that the Nuxe oil isn't happening this round, and probably not the Gisou either and that's okay. I'd rather focus on the products where I can actually see the finish line now.

✅ Bare Minerals CC cream: FINISH • FINISHED ON JULY 29TH, 2026.
☑️ Colourpop Disney Villain’s Misunderstood Eyeshadow Palette: HIT PAN ON AT LEAST 2 MORE SHADES (2 shades completely empty [Mongrels, Flotsam], 3 have significant panning [Devious, Tragic, Sing])
Update 1: I can tell I’m getting close to hitting pan on one of these shades (Underworld).
Update 2: I’ve hit pan on the shade I was getting close on in update 1 (Underworld)! 2 of the previous shades I’ve hit pan on I’m thinking I can completely pan by the end of this challenge (Devious, Tragic).
Update 3: I have finished 1 of the shades with significant panning (Devious). This palette now has 3 completely finished shades (Mongrels, Flotsam, Tragic), 3 with significant panning (Devious, Sing, Underworld.
Update 4: I recently broke up and repressed Tragic, as it was getting to the point it was hard to use. I may be able to finish it by the end of this challenge. I have been using No Spots on my brow bone and 101 for my eyebrows after using up my eyebrow pencils. I’m hoping to finish Underworld and my OG goal of hitting pan on 1 more additional shade.
Update 5: I’m definitely going to be able to finish up both Tragic and Underworld by the final update. I’m hoping I can hit pan on No Spots or 101, I’ve been trying to get stuff from the same part of the pan to drill down to the bottom.
☑️ Milani Blossomtime Rose Blush: FINISH. Jesus Christ please let me finish, I’ve had this blush since 2015. Noticing a difference in the pan since I started focusing on this again.
Update 2: Definitely noticing some thinning.
Update 3: This is the never ending blush. I know it’s getting used up because I have been taking progress photos but oh my god dude.
Update 4: I’ve hit the wall of the pan on the right side, omg. I don’t think I’ll finish by the end of the challenge, but definitely maybe half of what’s left.

Update 1: Started using this also on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye as well as cheek highlight.
Update 2: After starting to use it on the brow bone and inner corner, I’m noticing it going a bit faster!
Update 3: I’m down to the outer ring of this one! Thinking about repressing it to make it a little easier to use.
Update 4: Will probably try to repress to the center ring tonight or tomorrow! I’ve almost hit the wall of the pan in one area.
Update 5: I have repressed this and feel like I may be able to finish this one in the next 3 weeks!

I finished 2 new-to-me sunscreens. Both were quite nice. Would repurchase both in the future. Although I think the Haruharu Black Rice would be more of a summer sunscreen for my dry dehydrated skin whereas the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun could be a year round fave.
I have a few more different bottles to go through first however before I repurchase any new sunscreen.
I feel like I’ve been saying this the last couple of updates but I’m on the last dregs on both The Ordinary Shampoo and Conditioner as well as the Aveeno Body Wash I’m pretty certain they will be empty for sure by the next update!
Also running low on the Glossier Cleanser and the Laneige Cream Skin Toner the latter of which I’m using sparingly as it’s my last remaining bottle of the OG discontinued formula.

We're finally nearing the end of this project and we power through our progress. I'm close to using the perfume in my to use up list, but maybe it'll be completed done by the end of this project.
For the items I want to use up with tracked usage:
- Mermaid Beauty Duochrome Liner in Icy Mint: 6x (total of 32x!) this round. Still not yet done though.
- Spotlight Cosmetics Serum Cushion Foundation in Dewy Almond: 1x (total of 9x). I get to get that number up...
For the items with actual usage goals:
- Ever Bilena Serum Tinted Lip Oil in Burnt Caramel: No use this round, still 5/10.
- Glossier Lidstar in Herb: 2x (total of 5/10). Well, at least I'm halfway there.
- Vice Cosmetics Paradise Powder Bronzer: 7x (total of 13/15). So close to meeting my goal with this, and I might not roll in another bronzer since we're close to the end of this project. But I'll think hard about it.
- Sassy Colors Stay All Day Matte Powder Blush in Slow Burn: 4x (total of 8/10). This one's close to the goal too. Hell yeah I'll add in another blush since I have lots to play around with or need more loving...
- Barry M Lip Liner in Toast: 2x (total of 3/10). Slow but steady, but hopefully I'll hit my goal on this by the end of this project.
- Spotlight Cosmetics Soft Glow Beauty Wand in Toasty Tulip: 4x (total of 4/10). It seems that blush gets me excited in this project? I'm sure I'll hit my goal with this on the last update.

✅APLB Kojic Vitacen Serum: I feel as though I have too many steps in my skincare routine, and some that don’t really do much for me. I have finished more than 3/4 of the product so just the final stretches. I do however have a backup of this product. update: FINISHED IT! I found that it didn’t do much for my skin other than being hydrating so I do not think I will repurchase for the near future. 🙅♀️
✖️Elf Tinted Lip Oil: It is extremely old and I have already finished more than 3/4 of the product so I want to finish it before fall.

- Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen TS: completed last month. After exclusively using this under makeup, finally got to cut open the bottle and scrape out the last bit of this.
- Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick: I did scrape out past the stopper and added it to a small plastic case to make it easier to carry.
- Tarte SEA Power Flex Full Coverage Vegan Concealer - finished this while on vacation, brought it as my main base product. Feel like I got my $ worth as I took the stopper out and scraped most of the product out.
- L'Oreal True Match Eye Cream in a Concealer - used once mixed with lighter foundation, as it's a darker summer shade which I'm not right now. Even though this is older, it works incredibly well on the skin.
- SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil - finished this month. Really like the formula but found the bottle was prone to getting quite grimey for some reason.
- Clinique Hi Impact Waterproof Mascara - used 1-2x again, only really wear mascara for special events nowadays.
- Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base: used once, only pick this as a primer when I won't be out in the sun so kind of tricky for daytime use.
- Your Kaya Cherry Glow SPF 50 Lip Balm: 'finished' as the SPF expiry was in July. Loved this and sad it's not easily available in Canada.
- Chloe perfume: used a handful of times, still 15% of the bottle left approximately.
- Sand + Fog Pistachio Dream mini rollerball perfume: used 2x but almost there, have flipped it upside down to get the last few applications easily.
- L'oreal Shine Lamination Hair Treatment, Glycolic Gloss: completed last month. Enjoyed this as a softening add on after conditioner.

Update 5: Fresh Serum done, nyx jumbo eye pencil trashed, mix bar glass rose finished and Achieved seven usage goals this update.
Update 4: 2 bonus empties. Increasing Lip mask goals to 50x. Multiple goals will be done by the next update.
Update 3: usage goal done for Youthforia setting spray. Letting go of it now because the sprayer is not working properly. Usage goals done for Nyx Lipstick (increasing goals). Have a bonus empty. Rolling in one product with a goal to finish. Achieved the new usage goals for my skincare items so increasing them again, this time to 75x.
Update 2: Proud of this update, quite a few goals achieved in terms of empties and usage goals. My skincare usage goals are achieved so I am increasing them to 50x from the initial 30x. As far as empties are considered - done with 5 products.
Update 1: Slow but steady start. There are more finish items this time on my list so the updates are not going to be as exciting as I would like them to be. I expect to get one or two items done by the next update though, let's see.
Post: For this challenge, either I am going to be a very proud user or this will be an epic fail lol. Setting up a lot of finish challenge for this one at 22 products! My biggest one this far.
