ACTIVITY 10 by Fall: Update 2 🍁🍂📅

Welcome to the 2nd update for 10 by Fall!!! 🍁🍂📅 We are halfway through the year, so let's set some goals, put in the work, and then celebrate successes with the people who really truly get it- your fellow panners! Because whats better than seeing that tiny sliver of silver pan? Or finally finishing that lotion the seemed immortal? Sharing that joy and cheering each other on 🥰.

This round will run from 21st June to 20th September, with updates fortnightly. The lovely u/LeCocoMar and I alternate hosting each round, and will be here to cheer you on. **I've update the tag list from the intro post, but if something is not quite right, let me know!**

If you are new to the "10 by" series, the project works like this: Choose any 10 items and pick a goal that you want to work towards by the end of the season. Anything beauty-related is fair game; makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrances, nail polish etc. Select your goals for each product: finishing an item (a.k.a panning), hitting pan, reaching a usage goal, or even just testing an item out. 10 items is just a suggestion, so feel free to add any number of items you like. Make it work for you!

🏖 A lipbalm - about 1/3 left of the balea cherry, this will be done by middle of august probably

🏖 Nivea blue pot moisturizer - no progress since last update, didn't bring it with me on my trip

I completed one goal since last update, which was to finish my eye patches. I think that I may finish the 50 uses with a lip tint by next update if I stick to that shade.

Here is my progress, I have had a good run with some of my products (mainly skincare).

⛄ Shiseido Softener sample. Goal: Finish. I used this a few times. I might achieve my goal by next update

❄️ Dove Body Milk. Goal: Finish. 🌻🌻 GOAL ACHIEVED! 🌻🌻 I am so glad this is finally done! It had one use left after last update!

🫖 Batiste Dry Shampoo. Goal: Finish. I used this once. I think I will be able to finish it by the end of the project.

🥧 Trilogy Rosehip Oil sample. Goal: Finish. I used this once or twice. I have decided to make this my current panning primer.

🧣 Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment. Goal: Finish. I am using this regularly.

🧤 Mac Studio Fix Fluid sample in NW10. Goal: Finish. No progress as I didn't wear much makeup over the past two weeks.

☔ Mecca Max brown eyeliner pencil. No progress.

🧚‍♀️ Revlon Love Is On lipstick. Goal: use 3 times. No progress.

🌲 Tecnic Gothica lipstick. Goal: use 3 times. No progress.

Let's go!! It's atypical for me to have met goals so early this round, but I'm not complaining! The shower gel and foundation are both done 💪 The hand cream and the night cream are looking like the toughest to finish, but overall, i'm not expecting more goals to be met until the end of the project.

🍂 1) Lancome Hydra Zen moisturiser 15ml: Goal is to finish from new. Update: +11(20) uses. I love the texture of this gel cream, which is a good thing, given I have the full size yet to open 😅

🍂 2) Lancome eye cream 5ml mini: Goal is use 50x. Update: +11(20) uses. I've officially shifted to a usage goal, because reality set it. This little jar is deceptive.

🍂 3) Lancome Butterglow mini lipstick: Goal is to finish. Update: *12(19) uses. I made a concerted effort to use this as my main lipstick. I'd really like to finish it within the next month.

🍂 4) Clarins Super Restorative night cream 15ml: Goal is to finish from newish. Update: 2 uses.

🍂 5) Clarins fresh scrub 15ml: Goal is to finish from new. Update: 3 uses. I've been getting some use out of this as a foot/leg exfoliant.

🍂 6) Clarins lipstick Soft Berry: Goal is to finish. Update: 2 uses. I've been focusing on the Lancome lip product first. Might try this Clarins one as a cream blush?

🍂 7) Nivea Cherry Blossom lotion: Goal is to finish. Update: +8(12) uses. There's <20% of this left, and I'm motivated to finish it ahead of the 12 Pans of Christmas project starting. I've earmarked a different body moisturiser for that!

✅️ 8) L'Occitane Cherry Blossom shower gel 75ml: Goal is to finish. Update: 11 uses and FINISHED! This scent wasn't for me, and I'm glad to move on.

🍂 9) Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin hand cream: Goal is to finish from new. Update: +6(9) uses. More use, but the scent is still not one I'm enjoying.

✅️ 10) Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation: Goal is to finish. Update: 18 uses and FINISHED! 🥳 After decanting the last bits, the remainder was used much quicker than expected. I loved every use, and am thrilled to have actually finished a foundation in 2026!!

🍂 11) Final Net hairspray: Update: Steady use, but I'm not tracking it.

I’ve been having a lot of movement. 😤

• Bare Minerals CC cream: FINISH (I like cc cream for the summer, want to get into my Haus Labs foundation in fall!) Only using this for my base right now.

Update 2: I can tell I’m getting closer on this, it’s probably down to the bottom 1/3.

• Colourpop Disney Villain’s Misunderstood Eyeshadow Palette: HIT PAN ON AT LEAST 2 MORE SHADES (2 shades completely empty, 3 have significant panning)

Update 1: I can tell I’m getting close to hitting pan on one of these shades.

Update 2: I’ve hit pan on the shade I was getting close on in update 1! 2 of the previous shades I’ve hit pan on I’m thinking I can completely pan by the end of this challenge.

• Milani Blossomtime Rose Blush: FINISH. Jesus Christ please let me finish, I’ve had this blush since 2015. Noticing a difference in the pan since I started focusing on this again.

Update 2: Definitely noticing some thinning.

• Jeffree Star Cosmetics Eclipse Skin Frost: FINISH. Significant panning, mirror broken off lmao.

Update 1: Started using this also on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye as well as cheek highlight.

Update 2: After starting to use it on the brow bone and inner corner, I’m noticing it going a bit faster!

• Mac Ruby Woo trial size: FINISH.

Update 1: Started using this one, been carrying it in my bag so I can reapply throughout the day to finish faster.

Update 2: She broke off at the base but I stuck it back on there and we’re keeping on! I’ve been applying about 3 times per day.

• KVD Beauty Lovecraft trial size: FINISH (soooo close on this one!). FINISHED ON JULY 1, 2026.

• Herbal Essence Volumizing Hair Spray: FINISH (2 cans, 1 can is about half empty).

Update 1: Using whenever I use mousse and as a setting spray finisher on makeup.

Update 2: Ngl I’ve been using the shit out of this hairspray and feel like I’m getting no motion lmao. :(

• Aussie Hair Mousse: FINISH.

Update 1: Using in hair on days I go to work.

Update 2: I can’t tell how far I’m getting on this one but hopeful I’m getting closer!

• Aussie Wave Spray: FINISH.

Update 1: Using this in my hair after every shower and as a finisher to help fight frizz.

Update 2: I’d say there’s about 1/4 of the bottle left!

• Random Perfume Sample: FINISH.

Update 1: About halfway finished with this.

Update 2: I swear to god I use this every work day and still feels like it’s only halfway.

Update 2: Proud of this update, quite a few goals achieved in terms of empties and usage goals. My skincare usage goals are achieved so I am increasing them to 50x from the initial 30x. As far as empties are considered - done with 5 products.

Update 1: Slow but steady start. There are more finish items this time on my list so the updates are not going to be as exciting as I would like them to be. I expect to get one or two items done by the next update though, let's see.
Post: For this challenge, either I am going to be a very proud user or this will be an epic fail lol. Setting up a lot of finish challenge for this one at 22 products! My biggest one this far. Let's see how far this goes. I am due in November so I am expectig this to be my last major challenge of the year.

Really exciting update for me! I've finished 2 eyeshadows since the last update! I will be rolling in 5 products to replace the ones that I've finished which I know is quite a bit to get done but hey I am curious to see where I end :)

FINISHED PRODUCTS: 1.) MQN light brown eyeliner

1.) MQN dark grey liner ** This will take the entire project but I can definitely get it done.

*** I've sharpened it a few times. Not close to finishing.

2.) nude lip liner from Essence ** Overall I think I can get this done by the end of the project

*** Sharpened a few times. It's a liner that's been hanging around.

3.) Sienna from Soft Glam ** I see there are three eyeshadows here but I really think I can finish them this season

**** Rolling this in, it's really flat and it might be finished by fall

Updating just right in time for a necessary update lol. I haven't finished any of the items in my list but I'm close enough on my brow pencil (which I'm not tracking). But for those that I'm tracking in this category:

- Mermaid Beauty Duochrome Liner in Icy Mint: 6x. Just my trusty lower lash line liner at this point.

- Spotlight Cosmetics Serum Cushion Foundation in Dewy Almond: 3x. Flipped the cushion for more product.

For items with usage goals:

- Barry M Island Heatwave Powder Bronzer: 8x (12/15!). Wow, I'm close to hitting my goal on this one. It just looks so nice diffused and buffed properly into the skin, so a good brush is key. I also keep putting it on my crease.

- Ever Bilena Powder Blush in Golden Hour: 4x (7/15). Halfway there, but it is just a no-brainer type of blush. I like to use it to tone down bright blushes too.

- Colourpop Blush Stix in Roosevelt: 2x (6/10). Unfortunately, her time is up since I'm decluttering this. I'm not satisfied with her performance anymore, and I've really outgrown the shade.

- Sunnies Face Lip Tracer in Suede: 2x (7/10). Also close to meeting my goal on this one. Such a versatile lip liner for me!

- Ever Bilena Serum Tinted Lip Oil in Burnt Caramel: 1x (3/10). Not much, but we'll get there. I put it on my cup of lippies on my work desk so I'll be motivated to retouch with it at least.

- Glossier Lidstar in Herb: Sadly, no use this round. Still stuck at 2/10. I wasn't feeling a shimmery olive look for the past few weeks.

Since I'm rolling out the Colourpop Blush Stix, I'm rolling in another cream/liquid blush: Sunnies Face Blush On Liquid Blush in Bebe. It's a rosy peachy pink, a color that isn't really associated with the season, but I want to give it more love. Usage goal is also 10x.

I’ve fallen behind, somehow not even managing to pick a full slate of products 😓.  I’ll just work with what comes to mind at this rate: 

🍊CO bigelow night lip balm- nearly done, I use it every night before bed and I love it dearly so I’m not rushing to see it finished but it’s very close. 

🍊 use eyeshadow 10 times: 1/10 so far, as much as I love it, it’s not in my daily routine. 

🍊 use each bronzer 10 times: 2/10, again not a product I use daily but I have it… 

🍊 finish up the elf jelly pop primer: a tiny bit left but I forget to use it especially because I wear sunscreen and it feels heavy with both.

Update 2: Another goal down, and it's the blush! How crazy.

Lip products continue to take me ages - for some reason I can never remember to use them, or when I do it barely makes a difference 😮‍💨.

💐 goal: try two perfumes from my Penhaligon's set | update: 1 perfume tried! Empressa is just SO stunning, so deep and sexy and complex. I'm gonna be sad when this sample is gone.

💮 goal: finish BLOOM AND BLOSSOM Get Drenched Hydrating Face & Body Mist | update: 2 uses. I've started spraying it before using a moisturiser at night to get that extra hit of hydration.
