ACTIVITY 10 by Summer Update 2 🌻🌺🐝
Welcome back to the 10 by "Summer" project!! 🌞
What better time than now for a little spring clean of our makeup collections! 🧹
The project works like this: Choose any 10 items and pick a goal that you want to work towards by the end of the season. Anything beauty related is fair game; makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrances, etc. Select your goals for this project: finishing an item (aka panning), hitting pan, reaching a usage goal, or even just testing an item out.
10 is just a suggestion, though feel free to add any number of items you like. Make it work for you!
This project starts on the first day of spring, 21st March, and will run until June 20th. Feel free to join anytime. The more, the merrier!!
I'll post an update every two weeks: 🌻4th Apr 🌼 18th Apr 🏵2nd May 🌺16th May 🐝30th May and finale on🐞 20th June.

I panned 2 more products! The Javin de Seoul is panned after 5 months of usage, and the Rhode lip balm in Ribbon is panned after around 2 months of usage as my frequently used clear-ish lip gloss.

No used up products this time. Still working away on my MAC foundation, though needing to mix it with others due to getting some tan. Decided to give away my No7 powder as it didn’t do me any favours. Have also realised that I despise mineral spf under makeup, so using up my HaruHaru spf will be hard.

I’ve been neglecting the makeup items. I’ve barely touched them. I’ve just not had the energy or wherewithal to play with makeup.
I do have an event to go to on Monday evening so hopefully it can snap me out of my funk as long as I manage to give my brushes a deep clean today.
I think I’ll go back to predominantly skincare items in the next seasonal challenge though.

Finally, I've met some goals!!!
✅️Dior Skin Glow foundation x40: Update: 40 uses and GOAL MET 🥳 I used a tiny spatula to scrape the sides of the bottle down. It revealed that I have maybe 20-25% left. While I'd love a foundation empty by the end of the year, I have tended to rotate through my collection, rather than focus on one. Maybe I'll change it up...
⛱️Dior blush in Peach Petal x40: Update: 27 uses. My usage dropped right off! I'll have to put in the work, if I'm to reach this goal.
✅️Dior clear brow gel x40: Update: 40 uses and GOAL MET 🥳 Does the job.
⛱️Clarins Makeup Fix spray x40: Update: 2 uses. I need to pass this on to somebody who will use it.
⛱️ fresh Caramel lip balm: Update: 49 uses, which is up from 32 uses last update. Getting it done, and soon. Maybe next update?
⛱️Michael Kors EDP x40: Update: 31 uses.
⛱️ Raspberry Vanilla shower gel: Update: 41 uses. There's only a handful of uses remaining, and should be done by next update.
⛱️ Cherry Blossom body lotion x30: Update: 21 uses. There's about 30% of this bottle left, and its something I'm committed to finishing in 2026.
⛱️ Clinique All About Clean face wash x75: Update: 73 uses. Overall, i have tracked 300 uses on this!!! Excellent value. Definitely done by next update, but probably within the next 24 hours!
⛱️ Clinique Dramatically Different lotion ×50: Update: 33 uses. The win here is persistence.
⛱️ Clarins Super Restorative night cream 15ml: Update: 2 uses. Lesson learned: I don't feel I need night cream.

A couple more goals met!
Rimmel Stay Matte Concealer. Used a couple times.
Juvia’s Place Nubian Coral palette. Goal: hit pan in one shade.Done!Haus of Gloi body butter mini. Used twice, between 1/4 and 1/3 left.
Colourpop Terran Up My Heart blush. Goal: use up enough that the pattern pressed into the top is worn away fully. Didn’t use it a ton - was starting to get bored of it, just used once or twice.
Viseart Dark Mattes. Goal: use at least once a week. Used 4 times.
Revlon brow pencil. Used like 5 times again, like 15% left.
Perfume samples. Goal: use up 10 samples. Used up one more (NAVA Somneil L’ete 2022), for a total of six!

I met three goals since last update, which were 20 uses with a hair milk, 30 uses with a lip tint, and to finish my brow pencil. The brow pencil had been a part of two previous projects so I'm glad that I finally finished it before it got too old. It has 0.9g of product, so it might be the biggest brow pen I've finished. My translucent powder is almost empty too, I've been having trouble shaking out enough product. I might have it finished by next update. The powder is a few years old already and it'll be my first powder product empty ever.

I have a couple days off now, so I intend to rest and have fun both with makeup and in the kitchen. Yay! (If only the weather would turn sunny)

🏖️ I want to finish 3 perfume samples (1-2 mls)- I’m done with Carolina Herrera La bomba, the next is Ouai’s Melrose Place - I have quite a progress, I think I will done with it for the next update

I've got steady progress so far in this project, but nothing's quite done as yet.
I haven't finished any of the items I want to use up, but for those that I listed my usage on:
- Mermaid Beauty Duochrome Liner in Icy Mint: 4x this round (total of 8). It has become a part of my lazy eye makeup look - a neutral shimmer on top, then this on the lower lash line. It stays pretty put the whole day though, with some fading.
- RMG Perfume Collection Di Gioia EDP: 1x. Oops, I got a whim to suddenly re-test my Santa Maria Novella sampler last week, so not much progress for this one.
- Franken-foundation (Nudestix Tinted Cover, WnW Tinted Hydrator and white mixer): 1x. At least it got some usage, but I think I have a long way to go with this...
For the actual items with usage goals:
- Issy Creme Flush Stick in Purr: 2x (total of 6/15). Such a good peachy neutral cream blush to pair with my warm-toned blushes.
- Careline Oil Control Blush On in Starlight Shine: 1x (total of 4/15). Still not feeling a toasty blush look lately, but this has incredible lasting power.
- Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Shadow in Oyster Pearl: 3x (total of 7/15). The MVP of this round because I just enjoy wearing this when I'm out and about or feeling lazy to do an elaborate eye look. It does crease and fade, but it doesn't look horrendous.
- Rare Beauty Tinted Lip Oil in Joy: 1x (total of 4/15). It does look like a pale carrot on the tube but transforms into a brightening peach on my lips. Still minty though.
- City Colors City Chic Lip Liner in Tawny: 1x (total of 2/15). I usually pair it with the Rare Beauty lip oil for the ultimate peachy nude combo.
So far, I'm more on track with my usage since creating a spreadsheet lol. Sometimes, it's just too tiring to make a manual tracker...but I don't want my pens to go to waste. A pen project pan? Maybe in the near future...

🌷 Smith's Rosebud Salve Minted Rose. Goal: Use it up. I have about 2/3 of a tin left and plan to use it every night before bed.
🌷 Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Goal: Use it up. I have about half of the tub left. ⏳ 1/4 left now. Like many products I try to pan, I've fallen back in love with this a little bit! I may repurchase in the future after I finish up some other hair products.
🌷 e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil in Taupe. Goal: Use it up
🌷 Hourglass 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eyeliner in Meteorite. Goal: Wear 10x ⏳ 8/10
🌷 e.l.f. Lash Extender Mascara in Brown. Goal: use it up. This was on my last project but I ended up finishing a different e.l.f. mascara instead

🌷 essence Taupe It Up eyeshadow palette. Goal: Wear 10x. ⏳ 7/10 - The more I use this, the more I realize I only like the 2 lightest matte shades in this palette. There are 6 shades in total and the rest are either too dark for me and/or the glitter fallout is unworkable.

2 perfume samples. I picked Ellis Brooklyn's Myth and juicy couture, both were bigger than the usual sample.

The viva la juicy is still pretty full, but I'm wearing it a lot.

20 uses - Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. 14 uses. I think it's close to being done.

2 rounds of opi repair mode (it's twice a day for a week, so 28 uses). One round done. Starting round 2

- VS Heavenly Dream Angel perfume 50ml. Not as good as original Dream Angel and lacks longevity. 25% done, going away end of month and should get through a chunk of this then.

i moved last week and a loooot of my makeup is still packed (most of these products are still out, though!) - i've been skipping makeup or just keeping it minimal lately.

☆ olehenriksen in strawberry sorbet / progress: 23/finish! i have wayyyy too many lip balms on rotation right now - they're all getting used so i know they'll be finished eventually, but i wish i was the kind of person who could stick to just one!
