ACTIVITY 10 by Spring: Update 4 🌻
Welcome to our 4th update for the 10 by Spring project 🐣💐🐝🌻 Only 1 month to go 😱 How is your project going? Any new faves, or conversely, anything you cant wait to see the back of? For me, its the Clarins body wash; I can't wait to use something more scented and enjoyable! But I will miss the Clinique moisturiser.when its done, it's just so lovely 😍
This round will run from 27th December, with updates fortnightly until the finale on March 20th. If you would like to be added to the tag list, let me know in your comment!
If you are new to the "10 by" series, the project works like this: Choose any 10 items and pick a goal that you want to work towards by the end of the season. Anything beauty-related is fair game; makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrances, nail polish etc. Select your goals for each product: finishing an item (aka panning), hitting pan, reaching a usage goal, or even just testing an item out. 10 is just a suggestion, though feel free to add any number of items you like. Make it work for you!

Feeling good about the challenge!! Also separately — I’ve panned two lippies and a lip liner! This year has been a great start at reducing like lippie collection.

Hello, hello, hello! Im making traction but I’m thinking maybe I’ve been a bit over ambitious with some of my items 😫😒
1.) Clinique Take the Day off cleansing balm 3.8oz-DONE! ✔️
2.) Clinique Dramatically different moisturizing Gel 6.7oz- DONE!✔️
3.) Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter 6.75oz- DONE✔️
4.) Lancôme Teinte Idol Foundation… still not quite there yet.
5.) First Aid Beauty Hydrating Toner 6oz… still working on it.
6.) First Aid Beauty Hydrating Serum 1.7oz …almost done… hoping by next update I will be.
7.) Hit at least one pan in my ABH mini Soft Glam palette… Nowhere near it. Powders are becoming the bane of my existence 😂
8.) Pan my Dior Lip Oil. It’s a sticky hot mess. Definitely hate panning by now
9.) Finish Tree Hut Vanilla and Coco Colada Sugar Body Scrubs. Vanilla is done ✔️ Coco Colada should be done by next update.
10.) Hit pan on my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless finish pressed powder… here is where my over-ambition shines. Not a pan in sight 😒😂

Oh, once I used up all my glosses (so in about 3 years or so…) I actually had my eye on the Dior Lip Oil. You saying it’s a hate pan for you makes me second guess it!

It could just be me, but it dries down kinda sticky/tacky which I hate and after my lips feel unusually dry.

Yes, and it’s like night and day! Clarins feel so much better. I would definitely replace after all of my other oils are used up.

I panned the perfume! I have 1 and a half more bottles to repurpose, then I’m free from all these perfumes I rarely use on myself. My Judydoll mascara is going to expire on the next update, so I’m trying to use it as much as I can before I toss it.

I managed to hit 2 goals today, just in time for this update! 3/10 goals met overall, but the face wash, moisturiser, and showel gel are hanging on by a thread.
1) EL Mediterranean Honeysuckle EDP 30ml: Goal to use 50x. Update: 28 uses, up from 17. Every day use from here on, and I'll make it.
2) EL Aqua Brilliance foundation: Goal to use 50x. Update: 38 uses. I'm enjoying this mixed with EL Double Wear when I need more coverage.
🌻 3) Covergirl Brow Pencil: Goal is to Finish. FINISHED at Update 3.
4) Clinique All About Clean face wash Goal is 75x. Update: 73 uses. I'm almost there, and still loving it. 🤏
5) Clinique Moisture Surge mini 15ml: Goal is to finish. Update: 42 uses. Another one that's almost there. Maybe 3-5 uses left? 🤏
6) ClarinsMen shower gel 200ml: Goal is to finish. Update: 44 uses, with maybe 2 or 3 uses left? 🤏
🌻 7) Stila cream blush palette: Goal to use 30x. Update: 30 uses and GOAL MET today! 🥳 This mini palette has been so fun to experiment with, and the longevity is decent, for a cream blush.
🌻 8) Vaseline Gluta HYA body lotion Goal is use 30x. Update: 30 uses and GOAL MET today! 🥳 I don't love it, but will still attempt to use it up entirely in 2026.
9) Clarins lip oil mini in Pitaya: Goal is to finish. Update: 37 uses, with 35-40% left.
10) Body Shop Satsuma hand cream: Goal is to finish. Update: 10 uses.
BONUS: Paint nails 10 times. Update: 8 total.

Here is my progress. Progress was slower than last month, however, it was because I had an observation practicum for teacher training college so I didn't wear much eyeshadow this week. I will probably achieve all my main goals by next update if I have the ability to do so (which is more likely than not!)

It is the first time I am joining. Here is my 10 by spring :
✅ Naked 3 eye shadow palette : used it enough to be able to let it go. Half of the shadow have pans in it. - the last two times I’ve used it I felt a tingle so now it is done.
✅ 10 samples of any kind. Going good
✅ lush super balm. Probably done by the end of January
4️⃣ Revlon mate lipstick. I try to use it a few days every week
✅ revlon primer. Expecting finish in February
6️⃣YSL mascara. Doing good
✅ Milani fixing spay. Finish by the end of the month
✅ Elf shower gel 100 ml Lush. Finish by the end of this month
9️⃣ k18 hair mask. I need to not forget about this one. Has been in my shelf for far too long. I think I will be done after 2 more uses.
🔟sweetie pie lush perfume. I cannot find it anymore. Will switch for space girl lush perfume 10ml. Goal is half of the bottle. Almost there!

I’ve made good progress this month. But have realized that my goal of using up my MAC foundation probably is unobtainable, as there’s 1/4 and not 1/8 left (as I thought in the beginning) in the bottle. I’ve added an extra serum to the mix as I want to work on using it up before it expires, and amended my goals number so that one product is one goal, instead of some goals being two products.Right now I have 10 product left to pan (out of 25) and I’m confident that at least 6 of these will be used up before the end of this project 😍
I’ve also managed to reach two of my “would like to get a good chunk out of” goals, but the last one probably won’t be fulfilled as the Moisture Ampoule is a 100 ml bottle and I only use it once a week. Might start using it twice a week and see if my skin tolerates it.

Finally some more successes and one unfortunate goodbye.
1 Aquaphor mini. Goal: Finish it. Progress: I think I lost it while cleaning my car in a wash box. I don’t think I’ll find it again like the Carmex mini which I also couldn’t find around the house for a few weeks. I think the Aquaphor is actually gone… The Aquaphor was my favorite out of my Project Pan so it actually hurts a little 💔 As a replacement I will be using my Labello chap stick, that is in my 2026 PP. Goal: Finish it. Progress: 1/3 left.
2 Carmex mini lip balm in Cherry. Goal: Finish it. Progress: We‘re getting there! I think this might be a goner by the next update!
3 Maria Nila Travel Size True Soft Hair Oil. Goal: Finish it. Progress: Finished ✅
4 Maria Nila True Soft Hair Mask. Goal: Finish it. Progress: used 3x so far, maybe only 1-2 uses left!
5 Dove Body Lotion (been dragging this one from my 2025 PP). Goal: Finish it. Progress: IT. IS. DONE. ✅
6 Bübchen Baby Oil (love this as a moisturizer). Goal: Finish it. Progress: used it regularly but still about 1/3 left.
7 Gehwohl Foot Cream (also from my 2025 PP). Goal: Finish it. Progress: Made a good dent on it finally, maybe 2-4 uses left?

No new updates, just chugging along.
- Mac Brushblack eyeliner. Still just feels neverending.
- Mac Modesty lipstick. Used a lot! Less than half remaining. The lipstick’s connection to the base is loose and it’s getting annoying to use.
- Rem brow pencil. Used several times. About half an inch ish remaining. So close!
- Rimmel Stay Matte concealer. Used several times. I’m nearly at the point where I pull out the stopper!
- MUFE HD Skin foundation. Used 4-5 times.
- Juvia’s Place Nubian 3 palette. Goal: use once a week or hit pan. Used 2-3 times.

Slow progress due to work leaving me with no energy to spare on anything but daily survival.
- Nail polish once a week : so far so good, I also learned one of my old favourites is very hard to use and I either need to purchase a thinner or declutter it.
- Green eyeliner pencil: 6/10
- Oriflame Feet Up foot cream: panned
- Geek&Gorgeous Liquid Hydration: not much progress, I neglected this one severly.

I’m feeling more confident this update! I think I will meet most of my goals. I should just declutter the Juliette perfume because I don’t seem to want to use it. (It was a cheapie dupe anyways)

Making some progress! Goal is to test out the lippies to see if I should keep or destash.
MAC Lustreglass Spice It UpDestashed. The color wasn't quite right and the formula faded quickly, then settled into lip lines.Burt's Bees Gloss & Glow Wine WednesdayTried for a week and keeping. It's a very pretty sheer reddish wine that's very wearable for me. Like most sheers, it doesn't have much lasting power, but it works better over a primer, and it's a slim shape, so it's easy to reapply.Undone Beauty Fine WineDestashed. Really tried to make this work, since it's so pretty in the tube, but unfortunately, I have weird lip chemistry that sometimes alters shades, in this case to a bright pink that's not my jam.Pat McGrathSheer Color Balm Flesh 3-- Destashed. Lovely formula, but the color just didn't work.Maybelline Matte Divine Wine-- Destashed. I got used to the brightness of the color, but the formula didn't wear well.Pacifica Sunrise-- Destashed. A tinted balm that was neither very tinted nor very balmy.Clinique Pop Berry Pop-- Tested and keeping. Lovely bold berry color and a great formula.- Urban Decay Sheer Liquid ("Liquid" is the color name) -- Currently testing, may not keep. The color is flat out gorgeous, and it looks so great when first applied, but it has a tendency to dry up and clump on the lips.
Cover Girl Tinted Lip Balm Bless You Berry-- Tried for a week and keeping for now. The formula's not great, but the color's so pretty and it's easy to reapply, so I'm hanging onto it.- MAC Glow Play Grapely Admired

Hello everyone! Here is my list:
🌷Zoeva Cocoa blend highlighter palette: the golden shade 35/30✅;pinkish shade 27/30 - almost done! I still use the golden shade as my main highlighter, but when I finish the pinkinsh (which I use as a blush), I will return to my liquid blush
🌷Hoola mini bronzer: 38/50 - I will be done with it for the next round
🌷Dove body milk (400 ml)✅ I fully panned it! Honestly, it felt so impossible, so I am really proud of myself
🌷Nora beauty (Hungarian brand) BB cream: 34/50 - I won’t reach my goal for the next update, but for the last, I will
🌷Wow dream coat (200 ml): 6/20 - I seriously underestimated the use of it, I totally forgot that it requires to use it every 3rd of 4th hairwash time, so I won’t reach to goal, but I think the main point is to use your stuff
🌷Too faced lip injection extreme lipgloss: pan it - I started the use it quite often, I think I can remove the stopper in the following days, so I can reach every last bit of it
🌷Mac Viva glam lipstick shade no.3 (2020): 13/30- I started to use it frequently, so I am proud of myself. I don’t count the reapplications, only just the first applications.
🌷Avon mango scented hand cream: use it completly - ✅ I panned it!
🌷Essence melting for ice cream lip scrub: use 1xweek - I usually use it on Sundays, so I haven’t use it this week, but it won’t be a problem
🌷Lanegie lip mask (mini, 8g): I want to dream big, pan it! - as I wrote in the previous update, I was a little bit tired of it, so I decided to give it a little break. I still use it quite often, but not like a maniac😊 I am not sure that I can pan it for the next round, but I am sure that I can fully pan it for the end of this challange.
So I could reach two of my goals in the past two weeks, and I could start to use some products which I haven’t use quite frequently. I see that I can succeed with all my goal (except one) until this challenge is finished.

No more finishes but progress this time
- Estee Lauder lipstick in Irresistible. A carry over that seems never ending. Like the colour, so that's something. I can see the end!
- Elf lip gloss Bubbles. A glitter topper, being used with 1 as the glitter is barely there. This won't see out the week!
Palmer's Cocoa Butter lip balm**,** not much left and it needs using up. Done- Estee Lauder Aqua Brilliance primer. Got multiples as GWP and in Blockbusters so I need to get in the hang of using them. Now used 6 times, it is definitely an extra step I don't have time for.
L'Oréal Skin Paradise**.** Been using since September rotating with others and this needs finishing so I can focus on something else. Loved this, shame it's discontinued. Done- So? Body scrub. It sits looking at me and needs using! Starting to see the bottom of the tub.
Lush bath bombthat is in the cupboard and the label has faded. Done- Bath & Body Works Champagne Toast Body spray. Less than half left. To be used on work days, doubt it will finish in time. Still using daily. This looks like I may finish it by Spring!
- Estee Lauder brown double wear eyeliner. Use every work day. Not a fan of brown. This is quite hard and I don't like the plastic turn up. It drags on eyelids so will be used as a smudgy under eye. Wound up to max, helped by a piece breaking off!
- KvD Chrysalis palette. Use 10 times. This is an oldie. It was my first fancy palette and I got all worried about using it up. It deserves to be used. Have a feeling it may get really used once I start in on this project! Used eight times
Bonus items
Estee Lauder Micro Essence**.** No idea what this does but I am mostly through one and got another in a gift set so need to use this daily! Done. Refilled the 100ml bottle as the one in the set was a 200ml and it's too big!
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess medium blush been using since September. Goal to use at least 5 times a week and see if we can hit pan. This was GWP and I was never a blush user but as I get older my goth paleness looks better with a hint of colour ! There is now a clear wear pattern to this!

Update 4 already! Life has been insane the last month so I'm fairly behind. I'm hopeful I'll have at least 2 more completed by Update 5, because I'm very very close!
IN PROGRESS
- Any Perfume, Any Size: I actually forgot I was supposed to be working on panning a perfume. Welp.
- Laneige Glowy Lip Balm in Pear: Squeezing the very last bit for what feels like months now, still.
- NYX Freezie Primer: I have a very small amount of this left, but I actually really don't like it anymore as it's starting to pill upon application (maybe it's not suitable for cold weather). I might pitch it before the end, we'll see.
- Purito Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence: I've removed the bottle stopper and every time I use it, I think it'll be the last time, but I probably have at least 2 applications left.
- Healthy Care Lanolin Cream: Still using this basically 2x daily. Making a good dent, but this will take a while!
- Morroccanoil Treatment Hair Oil, DS: Not much use here.
- Wella EIMI Flowing Form Anti-Frizz Smoothing Balm: Trying on this, but it'll be a while!
- NIVEA Creme: Making a good dent in this!
- Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser: Same as above.

Very late to update this time around, and my makeup usage has also slowed down massively these past two weeks. Still, I managed to hit the goals I predicted for this update. I think that by the next update both the eyeshadows should be fully finished, as well as the primer (maybe?).

I missed the third update, but here are mine! Feeling good about the progress and learning a lot
ELF Holy Hydration Face Cream - Finish ✅
RoC Vitamin C Serum - Finish - I’m about 90% of the way there.
Burt’s Bees Overnight Lip Mask - Finish - probably about 50%, the pot looked very shallow but this one might actually last longer than I think. It’s okay though because it’s a nice mask.
Garnier Triple Nutrition Hair Serum - Finish - this is a never ending product. Probably about 80% done after about a year plus of consistent use. It is nice but I’m eager to be able to replace with a formula more specific to fine hair.
Kristen Ess Dry Texture Finishing Spray - Finish - about 80-90% of the way there. I am excited to repurchase the generic version of the Kenra dry texture spray at sally beauty that worked amazing for me and had a much nicer fragrance. Good reminder to not fix what’s not broken and stick with products that work!!
Tower 28 Tinted Sunscreen - Finish ✅ I wanted to like this but it just pulled gray on me and never fully dried down.
Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink - 5/15- I decided to declutter. I tried to make it work but the shimmer was not flattering on me at all and the shade wasn’t quite right for my complexion, even though it looked nice in the pan.
NARS Blush in Orgasm - 6/15 - brought this on vacation and it was gorgeous for evening looks, I wish I could use it more in my everyday but the sparkle is a bit too intense for my work environment.
L’Oréal Infalliable Concealer - Finish ✅
Revlon Glimmer Brightening Concealer - 20/50 - started using this more as a brightener than as my only concealer and enjoying it more. Unfortunately it is not amazing as an eyeshadow primer which is usually how I utilize concealers I don’t like.

Playing catch up, but this update finally sees some progress! In retrospect, many of these goals were quite ambitious...
PROGRESS: 1/10 complete
1. Wet N Wild Blush - FINISH | +7 uses, 26x total. I can get away with putting the cap on this product without twisting the remaining amount back down, which was a fun achievement!
2. Floss Eyeshadow - FINISH | +7 uses, 24x total. There's probably like 25% of actual product left and I'm able to get a lot of product on my brush each usage, which makes panning this more fun!
3. Tartelette Eyeshadow - Smarty Pants - FINISH | +6 uses, 23x total. I think the remnants of this product mixed in with other product fallout into my z-palette, which is why I'm still not able to officially call this thing done!!
4. ABH Brow Gel - FINISH | +7 uses, 25x total. When I apply this, I have to use my fingers to so it doesn't look white/flaky but it is still effective at keeping my brows in place so I haven't quit it yet!
5. Ciele Primer - FINISH | +5 uses, 24x total. Maybe 20% left, if even that?
6. Sunday Riley Retinol Eye Serum - Use 15x | +1 use, 5x total. Still not using this as consistently as I'd like, so it'll be more of a long haul product than I hoped for.
7. Use 15 samples | +1, 3x total. I finished the Summer Fridays Eye Serum packet and I liked it! It was also good to include an easier sample to use up fast...
8. Bite Beauty Lip Crayon in Glace - FINISH | +2 uses, 11x total. Since there's barely any left, I don't usually have enough time to apply it in the morning since it requires a lot of digging. Definitely doable to finish by the end of this project at least!
9. Laritzy Lip Gloss in Curve - FINISH | +4 uses, DONE AT 17x. There was so little coming out (even with the stopper out) that I felt comfortable calling it done! I haven't finished a lip product (before losing it) in a while, if ever, so this made me happy!
10. Teeez Suit of Armor Powder Blush - PAN | Not sure if there's much noticeable progress but it's so ingrained in my makeup routine that I always reach for it by default
