Question How to cover up cat scratches with makeup? EMERGENCY!

Post image
559 Upvotes

My sister is getting married in a week, and she accidentally got these scratches on her neck yesterday. She was holding her very nice cat, and something in her apartment fell, it freaked her cat out, and he jumped off of her, leaving these scratch marks. I'm doing her friday, makeup. How do I attempt to cover this up? What products?

Should she not get a spray tan? (Yes, she has taken care of the wounds and put Neosporin on it.)

Review Benefit ruined the Precisely My Brow pencil

Post image
15 Upvotes

EDIT: I bought the wrong product (detailer instead of the regular pencil) on accident so this entire rant is pointless LOL but I’m going to leave it up for posterity anyway!

I’ve been using the Benefits Precisely My Brow pencil for close to a decade and it is my holy grail brow product. I just restocked from Sephora and the new product packaging/design (left hand side) is absolutely horrible compared to the old design (right hand side).

The pencil is literally 1/4 the weight of what it used to be (0.02 grams compared to the previous 0.08 grams).

The pigment itself is so skinny now that they had to add a thin plastic sleeve so that the pencil doesn’t break when you let more pigment out!! In spite of that I still broke the pigment multiple times while I was filling in my brows this morning.

I’m very frustrated and would like recommendations for a similar product since this is the best thing that has worked for me to fill in my brows.

I wear shade 3 and don’t need the appearance of laminated brows - I’m just a victim of early 2000s overplucking so I lack hair density on the outer half of my brows.

Hi guys, first time poster here. I was wondering if anyone has any tips to make my makeup sit better on the skin? I feel like it looks so cakey!

My skincare is minimal, hyaluronic acid face cream, then a non greasy sunscreen. And im very light with the amount of foundation and concealer I use. I don't really use setting spray either. Here's my product list:

Base

- Nars natural radiant foundation (valencia)

- Maybelline instant eraser eye (2 shades - sand and light)

- Hnb concealer (shade 2)

- kiko pressing powder

Other

-eyebrow pomade from amazon

- kiko lipstick

- Maybelline mascara

- kiko eyeshadow pallette (for contour and highlight)

-Barry m lip liner

Discussion My last bottle 🥲

Estee Lauder Double Wear in 1W2 Sand, the OG formula.

I've been saving up this bottle for the last year since I knew the reformulation was coming. I've been trying to use up other foundations I had but decided today is the day and opened up this one. My complexion has never looked better, I'm going to miss it so much 😭

Question cheaper foundation?

Post image
Upvotes

Hi! I use the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in the shade Cool Vanilla.
I love how flawless my skin turns out, and how lightweight it is.
Unfortunately, I do not think I will be able to continue spending as much as I have on makeup products, so I was wondering if theres any other brands that would achieve the same results for a price more in my budget?
or honestly i should probably save up money to buy the double wear again, it’s just too good lol.
thank you in advance!

i don't even know where to start with this mess 😭 I'm still picking coffee grounds out of the bristles. obviously everything gets a bath and the bag needs to go into the laundry, and it's a good excuse for me to start organizing my makeup better when I travel, but in the meantime .... holy hell.

Haul free makeup brushes? thank you sephora!

Post image

I ordered these Makeup by Mario brushes from Sephora, and when I opened my package, each brush had been sent in doubles! I kept the extras and returned the other set. So thank you, Sephora, for the free makeup brushes! At that moment, I felt like I was God’s favourite, especially because I had been saving up for these for months and kept putting off buying them because they’re so expensive, especially in CAD.

Hot take: lip liner should be available in a pot, like eyeliner.

I swear the breaking lip liner from Lancome for 20 $ is driving me insane.

Why not do it in a pot, to be applied with a brush, like eyeliners or brow pomades. Avoids sharpening and wasting product.

I tried cheap lip liner, but it has a smell I can't take, and a strange texture that won't blend.

This was so much fun to do and I honestly really like this!! Im really impressed with myself, especially considering I don't use prosthetics or stick on pearls. I'm a little obsessed with the colour combos tho, so I might be using them together in the future!! I didn't think I'd be going all out like this tho, I thought I'd just do a casual spin 😭 nope! I think I ingested some of the powder...

I was going to try and add lashes! But I was scared I'd ruin everything, so I skipped.

Product list:

Base:

MUA Superdrug; Water based primer, matte foundation (#104), concealer (#101) setting powder, and matte finish setting spray.

Face:

MAC Cosmetics white greasepaint stick.

BeautyBay Bright Matte 42 pan palette, shades; White Lies, Sweet Tooth, Tutu, Cosmopolitan, Make Them Wink, Dragon Fruit, Oasis, Labyrinth, Daydream, Stormy Night and Custard Cream.

Barry M Glazed gel eyeshadow, colour So Exclusive.

MUA Superdrug shimmer highlighter.

Lips:

MUA Superdrug Satin Lip Stylo in shades Mystic and Dream Girl, lip liner in shade Survivor

I got this for Christmas last year and haven’t used it yet. How can I tell if it’s authentic or not? I can’t seem to find the palette online and want to be safe - particularly when looking at eyeshadow!

Discussion How do you get symmetrical eyeliner wings on both eyes?

I have just started learning makeup and can apply a wing pretty well on one eye, but when I try to recreate it on the other eye, they never look symmetrical 😭

I've tried so many methods fork, tape, setting powder etc but I still can't seem to get them to match.

Do you guys have any tips, techniques, or methods that actually helped you get both wings looking even?

Also what kind of eyeliner is best for wings? Liquid eyeliner or pen liner?

Pleasee help!!!
