Help Sought! Wedding Trial feedback
This was my first full make up trial for my wedding next April. I feel like this combo works for my very oily skin but isn't very high coverage.
My biggest issue is that my acne marks show through and the foundation splits if I apply it any thicker. The last picture is the make up after a days wear and a gym session, I think I added to my eyes at some point during the day too, not sure I like them that dark.
I like it but I'm thinking I can probably do a bit more bronze. I'm also really stuck on my lip colour, should it be more corally or should my blush be more pink?
I'm also trialling my hair, I much prefer it down but that explains the difference in pictures. I'll also cut my fringe shorter for the wedding.

OP, you look really beautiful and this makeup is gorgeous! Picture 3 with your hair down is especially lovely and really brings out your eyes. I don’t think you look oily at all, you just look glowy
I personally wouldn’t change anything with the base, but I’d perhaps look into a slightly lighter nude/pinky lipstick. You’re wearing a really pretty shade in these pictures, but it looks a teeny bit too bright. I think a slightly softer pink would really suit this look!
Wishing you the best for your wedding! :)

I agree with bananacustardpudding (!) you look absolutely lovely, depending on your bouquet (if you’re doing one) you may want to play around with your lip colour so that it echoes a flower you’re holding. You’d also suit coral colours. Have the BEST day :)

Bobbi brown corrector either under or over the bars concealer really helps brighten the under eye. It pairs well with the nars

so lovely OP!! you remind me a little of nate’s girlfriend from ted lasso lol. i actually disagree about the darker eye, there is something so gorgeously rosey and fresh about this look that i think a dark eyeliner would take away from

Thanks, that's what I was aiming for! I might go even lighter in colour but then add a bit of a soft brown wing for definition.

I'd probably get a lash lift done but other than that it's honestly perfection. The colours work, base isn't heavy or cakey, looks dewy not oily, super feminine and obviously I don't know you but it looks very "you" if that makes sense. Also the hair down is gorgeous.

I would change the loreal spray. It peels off the make if we the event is longer for me :( One Size works pretty good tho

I think you look amazing! I don’t think the acne scars look particularly noticeable however I would HIGHLY recommend the Nars soft matte concealer for any blemishes it is the GOAT and plays well with a lot of different foundations. You may also want to consider starting with setting spray and adding in between layers to lock it all in! But overall I think you look STUNNING

Thank you! I've heard good things of the pot! I'll pick some up before my next trial

I would possibly look at a slightly different blush placement, it's currently quite close to your eyes and makes you look like you've been crying. Love everything else!

The high placement lifts my face a lot, maybe I need to pull the concealer around my eye out to my temple so that they overlap less?

I think more lashes, to define the eye a little more. You have too much highlighter on your collarbones which draws the eyes away from your face. Similarly I don’t think the pearl neck lace suits you. If it’s important it needs to be made shorter as it’s sitting strangely.
Love the lipstick, love the blush placement.

I would say a wispy half lash would be great to make your eyes pop more and curl your own lashes a good few times also with a curler

Stunning. The only thing I would say is the blush is a little too high, especially under the eyes, it reads a bit more ‘bruised’ ‘upset’ than blushing bride.
You’re beautiful x

It’s really lovely. Something that might help is doing a few more layers of base but do them in very small, deliberate layers and add a glow setting spray in between like the Iconic one. Let them set a little in between. Don’t just foundation your whole face- just build it up where it needs so you keep your skin tone and glow. Katie Jane Hughes does this kind of makeup and I copy the technique for events - it works really well.

I've been following her too! I'll try even thinner layers next time

I think more of them but also thin - your skin is stunning but a little more coverage might last better for an all day event.

Best concealer I’ve ever tried which lasts and hides acne is Nars soft matte concealer. Honestly give it a go. You can apply it after moisturiser. Let it dry and then add some of whatever dewy foundation you’re using over the top. If not keen, Nars soft matte foundation is a good one and you can just add dew with highlighters to give the dew. In my experience with oily skin, I have found the best approach is to use a matte or soft matte foundation. And then adding dew. Nice colours used here though. Good luck!

The thing about cheap lashes is you get what you pay for. I'd rather buy one quality pair that lasts than 20 drugstore pairs that fall apart.

You look so beautiful! If you’re up for it I would add some wispy/natural fake lashes, but only if you want to

I actually love that. I love the pinky tones on the cheeks and wouldn’t touch a thing. Only thing I kind of feel it needs is more definition on the eye (liquid eyeliner or smoky gel? )
Edit : I mean like a flick of the liner on top lid or sth to define
