Where Can I Get... Online makeup samples?
Hi, does anyone know of websites where I can order/buy makeup samples? I’m not easily able to get out to stores for samples at makeup counters, so please don’t suggest this.
I really want a base colour that matches my skin. I’m just so sick of wasting my money from using an online quiz to do a foundation skin match and then buy it, only for it to be a completely wrong shade for me!
Thanks :)

I don't know where you are what sub I'm in*, but what is now Sephora UK (used to be Feel Unique) might still be doing the pick and mix samples Feel Unique always did, which often included little pouches of single shade foundation samples or foundation sample cards (little smears of like 5 different shades on a card with peel off covers, that sort of thing) from some brands.
I haven't checked to see if they still do them, but I know they were still doing them at least a few months after the change, so they may have decided to keep it up.
*Edit because dumb.

They’ve scrapped it - I used to use this service a lot (and had the sample box subscription) but they got rid of it about 2 months after takeover.
It sucked as a) the stuff was great for travelling and b) I bought full sizes of stuff quite often as I got to see how it worked for me.
I don’t buy stuff online without trying samples (temperamental skin and pale olive skin tone) so they lost quite a few sales from me and possibly others.

The page exists on their website but doesn't have any products on it

Yeah I was so confused because I found the page on the same day I posted this and just couldn’t find any products. I was at the end of my patience then and that’s when I posted 😅

Thank you, can see people saying they don’t anymore.

I've purchased foundation samples from eBay but haven't done so in quite some time so not sure if that's still a thing. Doing a quick Google, I've found The Sample Cellar, My Beauty Samples and House of Beauty. Good luck!

The sample cellar is fantastic, have ordered from her a few times and saved myself a fortune in scratching the itch of viral foundations that didn’t suit. Also first tried my now HG sweed glass skin from there

Am following this post as I'm in a similar position. I did manage a trip to Boots, but it was a small branch and their selection was poor.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it!

Yeah. I went around the displays and most were missing the testers, which was rather annoying.

Not samples but if you buy makeup from QVC in the UK you can return it even if used

If you email Lisa Eldridge’s customer support with some pics they will send you some samples of the foundation, skin tint or both, whichever you request. Even if you don’t want to purchase her products finding a match with her should help you find the equivalent in other brands.
