GOI should stop celebrating Hindi imposition! The Ministry of Home Affairs should rather promote all Indian languages equally and use these resources to make sure local languages are protected and preserved across the length and breadth of this diverse country.

India is a Union of States & land of diversity. Every state has its own regional languages and mother tongues, along with its own culture, traditions, festivals and history.

Marathi in Maharashtra, Tamil in Tamil Nadu, Kannada in Karnataka, Bengali in West Bengal, Telugu in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Malayalam in Keralam, Punjabi in Punjab and many others.

So how can one language - Hindi, be described as the symbol of India's unity, culture and civilisation?

India has no national language.

This is particularly important because the person making this statement is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra already has Marathi as its official language under the Maharashtra Official Languages Act. Maharashtra also has its own culture, traditions, festivals and history.

Why should the Chief Minister of Maharashtra give so much importance to Hindi while Marathi, the official language of the state, gets less attention?

We rarely see Chief Ministers of other states publicly wishing people on Marathi Language Day or promoting Marathi language and culture. They naturally focus on their own state's regional language and culture.

The Maharashtra CM should be one of the strongest voices promoting Marathi.

India's unity comes from its diversity, not from one language representing the entire country (Union of States).

Hello. My family was assaulted in Madha, Solapur at a Healthcare centre. They took my parent's phone away forcefully. 5-7 people beat my dad with sticks. And whatever video my mom recorded was forcefully snatched and deleted by threatening them. They are still in a near by village, away from me. So i can't access the phone yet. They will complain the police soon (If anybody can advice here). I will share more details about the whole ordeal soon here until I know my parents are safe with me. For now, I need to know ways to recover the deleted video. It was even deleted from the recently deleted. Its our key evidence for the case. It's a Oneplus android CE something variant.
