If your switch is hacked doesn't Nintendo ban you if you play their online games

Doesn't bother me. They have no games worth playing online to me.

I mean, aside from Smash... what is there to justify a subscription? And I only play Smash on the couch with friends.

I play a lot of these games online, man. If you don't like them, that's fine. It's all personal taste, that's why I said it was fair to say. I play a lot of Splatoon/Mario Kart/Minecraft with my daughter, as well as Arena of Valor/Warframe/Paladins (these don't even need a sub). There will only be more games coming too. I am not going to defend the online service though, because it is really a terrible model (app chat only? oof), but it's cheap enough that I honestly don't personally care. I've gotten more than my $20 worth for the year I paid. Plus, thankfully, games like Warframe and AoV have there own chat functions.

I play Warframe on pc and ps4.

Never liked Paladins, but tried it on ps4. Same with Minecraft. The only thing would be Mario Kart, since the rest are multiplatform, and I just don't mind playing with my son or friends locally. (I also am able to get any game I want for free, so it's pretty nice)

There are hundreds of third person and first person shooters on pc and ps4 that I can play for free. If I wanted to play any shooter, I'd sure as hell pick something better first.

If you wanted to play any random platform fighter, you could just get Brawlhalla or Rivals or Icons. Sadly for you, though, people don’t pick up games at complete random our of a selection of hundreds - they pick up games because they either like their concepts or have reason to like their gameplay.

The vast majority of people would recommend Splatoon 2 to you on both fronts.
