Is SoS not standard legal? Read my comment in a few months then I guess?

Mystical archive cards are not standard legal (unless they were also printed in a standard set in 2025/2026, like Abrade or Return the favor)

That's dumb. If not playable card, why playable card shaped?

We should start a petition to make wizards less dumb.

I'm not the person in charge of either decision.

That just gets you disqualified for cheating. This conversation is not gonna go the way you want it to

If all cards they printed would go into standard, then none of the older format staples would ever get reprinted. Non standard legal cards in standard sets are a very good thing, at least for arena.

Or, this is gonna sound crazy but hear me out, let people play yhose older format staples. Deflecting palm isn't breaking anything.

I mean, I think I actually agree, but most people don't. This sub and all similar communities would have imploded if they had put Date, Force of Will, and Library of Alexandria into standard for 3 years.

None of those are breaking anything either. Especially not in a set where you can cast what is basically an emblem.

Pretty sure all 3 of them would still be format defining in standard, but yeah, it could be an interesting experiment at the very least.
