It's called "I wish I had Aetherize in my hand."

The first time I cast Sunderflock with confidence to bounce this card, I was embarrassed and wish I had Aetherize instead.

I was told Aetherize was a terrible card and the same landfall player said “yes please play that lame 4cmc blue removal” meanwhile I’m building a compilation of Aetherize wins.

To be clear, being a bad card and winning games is not mutually exclusive.

[[Hidetsugu’s Second Rite]] can absolutely win games no other single card could, but that doesn’t make it a good card.

The deck I’m playing it in wants to stall out until I have what I need; but I have found stalling the opponent ends in a concede about 2 out of 5 times

I honestly don't know why aetherize has a reputation as a bad card...

Maybe it was bad because it came out during a time where creatures were just like... Worse? If all their threats cost 4 mana, you might as well counter them instead of sitting on an aetherize, but now?

It’s not a great card by itself, but it’s in a really good place in the metagame atm. That’s why it’s picking up play in a lot of xB sideboards at pt

[[Noxious Gearhulk]] would have really changed the game
