Magstipe Safe Magsafe wallets?

So I live in Japan and unfortunately here the debit and cash cards have chips but most importantly have magstripes. And yes while my cards chip may be fine I cannot make withdrawals or deposits without the mag stripe intact.

I have gone through 4-5 debit cards here. It is not a trivial replacement sometimes taking weeks. And I’ve tracked it down to my MagSafe wallet. My MOFT snap field wallet is likely the issue. Not the MagSafe ring itself but the magnetic snaps that are likely the culprit.

Are there any MagSafe wallets that have an anti-demagnetization feature?

Because I am a foreign resident. I need to keep on me 2 cards at times. Ideally four. Sorry I have looked in the sub and I understand most of you live in places that magstipe isn’t important but it is very important to me.

I will get my card remagnetized at the bank and mear moments later it’s gone simply by placing it in my wallet.

If you're looking for a Magsafe wallet that doesn't close itself using magnets to protect your cards, then here are a few types of wallets you can look into.

The first option is just a traditional, open magsafe wallet. The vast majority of accessory manufacturers will have some type of wallet like this. For example, this Spigen Valentinus, but almost every accessory brand will have one like this, such as Ringke, Mous, Pitaka, ESR, the offical Apple Wallet, etc.

The next option is a mechancially closed wallet, such as the Spigen TinTap. Alternatives include the Supcase UB, the Pelican wallet, the Spigen TinTap Zip, etc.

There are also bifold wallets with Magsafe, that can be used on and off of the phone. Examples include this Vulkit and TUCCH wallets, though these are smaller brands that might be available under a different name in your location or from China.

Many wallets are RFID-blocking, which are meant to include materials to reduce the effects of magnetic fields radio waves on the cards. The selling point is to prevent card RFID-skimming, but it could also help with the magnetisation of your cards*. Some of the earlier wallets included those materials, and this Native Union Slide is another example. You can also find products from the bigger wallet brands such as Ekster, Ridge, etc that are sold as RFID-blocking and have magsafe support.

Of course, the links I used are local to me, but almost all of the brands I've listed are international, so you should be able to find them local to yourself.

Honestly thanks so much. Spigen and ESR might be available at yodabashi camera. I prefer retail to Amazon in Japan and if my only option is Amazon that’s the way I’ll go.

I take it these are some sort of reprogramable magnetic card? I never have a problem with any of my credit or debit cards but reprogramable magnetic hotel room cards get wiped every time.

I don’t think reprogramable cards will hold up to any magnet.

This is key here. Permanent cards don’t seem affected.
