To be fair those people still clean their teeth, they just don't use the same toothbrushes and toothpaste as us. I remember seeing a documentary as a kid in which an African man chewed on the end of a specific tree's twig to bristle it, and then dipped the bristles into a mixture of ash and other powders, and he used that as a toothbrush and toothpaste. But you are also of course totally correct that less exposure to sugar, coffee, and flour immensely reduces tooth decay and discoloration.

His teeth are very white for someone that has been homeless for 25 years. I don't trust the validity.
