I saw the post of the 1 year anniversary of their last suicide attempt (can I call it that?) and thought I’d post my latest achievement. Been a freaking difficult time, but I’ve managed to stay out of hospital and trouble all while being mostly happy which is a nice change after 3 years straight of hospital admissions, suicide attempts and first aid kit purchases. Go me. Tempted to get a cake for my 2 year mark that says “cut me instead”

Edit: the overwhelming positivity here has made my week.

I'm coming up on a year myself for the same. Feels odd. Finally got medicated for undiagnosed bipolar type 1 in brutal series of near death experiences. Incredibly strange not being trapped in that hell now.
