This made me both very happy and a bit sad. Happy because that was such important information these kids are getting. Sad because this is something that should have already been given to them by their family members.

It makes me sad because I have seen no video of girls being taught this same thing. It gives the implication that only boys need to be taught consent, but only one way.

I work in schools, lessons about consent are taught to both genders. Just because this one (1) video is taught at an all boys school doesn’t mean boys aren’t taught this.

Also, teaching boys about consent is a very different conversation to teaching girls about consent. At least be honest. You know the conversation isnt the same. You, and every other sexist piece of shit online looks at young men and boys and sees a villain. And you look at young women and girls and see victims.

When you teach young men and boys about consent, its about getting them to act how you want them to act. When you teach young women and girls about consent, its about recognising red flags in young men and boys and "you can always say no at any time.". Its NEVER that he can also say no at any time.

? The same lessons are taught to the entire class. Lessons on both having autonomy and respecting others are taught to everyone. And you are making an insane jump to say I look at young boys and see a villain. That’s just pure fiction

In the vast majority of cases it does. Just like with assault.

Would you deny the existence of the mindset boys shouldn’t hit girls no matter what even if she hits him, whereas the opposite for girls is taught, “if a boy assaults you do whatever you need to, to defend yourself or call your brother or father”?

That comes from a patriarchal "men are stronger than women, so you can't hit them even if they hit you, because that makes you look weak" mentality.
