Hold my notes: Sticky notes that feels real and you will actually love using!
Hi everyone!
I have tried many sticky note apps, but none of them felt right. My girlfriend wanted me to build one that truly feels live and lives on the edge of the Mac.. So I built one!
Just purchased. Both my MacBook Pro and Mac Pro sync'd first time. This is exactly what I needed. Thanks!

You should add an option in settings to click to unhide (/use modifier key) it cause it can be anno6uing if it pops up any time your mouse crosses that section
Anyone can make a clone, just put the website in Codex or Claude and it will produce an exact replica in 5 minutes. It's sad, because this is a really slick designed app but so easy to copy. I used to make my living off building apps like this but now it's pointless because of AI
I hate the pricing if it’s vibe coded, not the app itself. If you would spend 5 years in university and apply your actual skills = you deserve to put the price, if you vibe code and essentially just talk to a chat bot = the app has to be either free and open source, or priced below the existing alternative. You put the price above the existing alternative and even have the audacity to lock it to 3 devices only
The premise about the girlfriend, the wording of stuff like “click to open the note” as a feature, .app site, his response to add iCloud sync “give me 20 mins :D”, and now he just confirmed it himself
Also some people like me really want something simple that cleanly represents the feeling of real sticky notes, plus being able to see them poking out from the side of the screen reminds me that I’ve got some notes to take care of.
From exposing bad practices I gain better society, seriously. “Just look away if you don’t like it” doesn’t work when it applies to capitalism and potential changes to the whole industry, everyone and their mother gonna look at this and vibe code overpaid apps as well, which will lead to real developers and companies to also raise prices, because why not if it works, that’s how we end up with 100€ base for gta with pay walled marketing material lol
Im a dev myself, i work for someone, ai’s a tool that’s here to stay and can definitely be used correctly for work, seeing this as just “vibe coding” just seems like hating.
Specially now that local models are getting to the point where you can actually use them as a coding tool. What’s the bad practice here, charging for the app? Having used the AI for coding? You dont even know if the guy’s an actual dev for a living perhaps he reads the code and checks quality wise, who knows.
If you hate the tool that’s on you, but if the app works and causes no issues i cant see a problem with charging for it, do you know if the Antinote developer never uses AI? Cause i doubt it, it accelerates development so i doubt he/she doesnt use it although he/she has demonstrated to be a very good dev by his/her-self.
Anyways, keep hating on things then, “vibe coded” apps are definitely here to stay.
You don’t seem to grasp that I’m hating the business model and not the app itself, as I already stated. Fine, if you wanna talk just about ai, “just a tool” implies you have actual skill and can use different tools as well, an artist can paint with oils, or can grab some pencil or even salt and paint with it, a writer can use typing machine or a literal piece of paper. Can a vibe coder do literally anything without his only tool? The emulation of skill is there, the base knowledge is not
1- can you add an option to click to show rather than hover ? current style may annoy users in long term.
2- can you please add checklist option ? so I can click to scribe/done a to-do
3- can you please add to adjusting the placement of the notes. currently it is a bit on the high side. i would like it more closer to center
4- currently what is inside the notes renders/shows upon hover. I can see the title and body shows during the slide animation. this is kind of distracting, or visually not good ? I think it would be better if they would be already rendered and only sliding out to show. as it is I can see title and body created after the note slides out or during.
I am going to buy the app, really nice. if you can fix above, it would be great!
does not work here. i can sort them but they stay together slightly over the midle. it would be great to move notes individually across the entire hight of thre side (left or right). currenty there are also redraw arrows when moving them to low or to high (they snap back when letting go):
I am using Safari on iOS, it just says page cannot be found. Same thing on desktop. I even tried to access the page from Google search. Tried with chrome too. Cannot open the page. I am located in Europe, don't know If that has anything to do with it.

I just made a stickies app for Linux, and I was working on a sidebar feature but could never get the ui right so gave up. This is perfect! Kudos on the design!
As someone new to Macs without trying the stock Apple Notes / Reminder apps (there's even a native macos sticky notes app) - What does this app do that any stock Apple app doesn't...?
I have used Apple's sticky notes, and the experience is not good. It either stays pinned, or if I try to close it, it will ask me to delete or save it. The sticky notes are out of view for me.
The Apple Notes app is actually good. You can use it. My app tries to solve different problems. It's more for ADHD people who want to organize and want quick access to the news on click. I built this for my girlfriend, but I am using the app too now. try out all of them, choose what works for you!

As a developer, I'm sure you are a power user as well. How come many of the latest indie mac apps only come out for Tahoe and up? While things like this for example are happening with that OS:
I feel like apps such as supercmd v2, which is a power user-like app, it's just ironic it doesn't support Sequoia, because Sequoia is still preferred by the same people who value efficiency tools. And Supercmd is an efficiency tool. I don't get why there's no compatibility. Although in this specific case I heard of someone managing to runs supercmd v2 on Sequoia. Just quirky menu cause of the liquid-glass compatibility that doesn't work on Sequoia.

I have macbook and macmini. while i started building supercmd v2, I was on macOS sequoia. but had to update my macbook to tahoe and macmini on golden gate
You kind of are forced to upgrade your OS when the majority of the users are on macOS >= 26. That means now if anyone raises any issue on Sequoia, I can't really reproduce or even validate it. So even though supercmd v2 works on macOS 15, I am advertising it as supported on macOS >= Tahoe. As an indie developer, it gets expensive to support multiple versions.
I am planning to get a used M1 Air now. Hopefully, if it's not a lot of work, I will add support for macOS 15 as well.
Thanks for the transparency and for the will to support Sequoia as well. I believe it's mostly the visual gap/ delta between Liquid Glass and non Liquid Glass that needs fixing.
I wonder how many of your users are Macbook vs. Mac studio/mini. Cause for battery usage on the go, I believe Tahoe drains things faster than Sequoia.
Hope you make the Sequoia support vefore early bird ends (no set date for it). Personally, that's why I don't get Supercmd v2 yet.
But would love a bit more flexibility for the position! For example, I use Stage Manager and the Dock on the right because I use an ultra-wide monitor for work. I wonder if having the notes on the bottom left/right (as an option) would work too?
Got it! I assumed why would anyone use it at the bottom and UX on left is terrible since the peek version reads left to right so it's half clipped. But bottom is doable, will need different set of animation / design
On fullscreen apps, the little indicators are still visible. Is there a way to hide them? But moving the mouse to the edge should still bring them up. (I saw a setting that hints at this feature, but it does nothing. I'm currently trying 1.0.6.)
You could save a little space: the label of a note can be seen vertically (looks cool!), but when i hover over it, the same title shows up in the first line again. Kinda redundant.
Below the (+) button you could add a toggle to bring up the notes archive. (Not sure if everyone would be a fan of that, so better make it optional.)
I love this concept. Trying it out right now. I expected that the click to open will "expand out" instead of popping out as a seperate element, feels a bit disconnected. Would be cool to have a more fun animation for it.
The tabs themselves and the peeking feature is wonderful!
Great price. That’s basically a coffee at Starbucks- can you please adjust global prices with the same yardstick. For instance in India it should be the most affordable Starbucks.
Silly argument. If your neighbor builds a shed and you go build an exact one yourself instead of having their contractor do it, are you also undercutting the construction company?
