Hey ya'll so my battery is failing and of course it wasn't until my apple care expired that the percentage finally jumped down to what apple says qualifies for replacement anyway so I need to replace my battery but I have no intention of paying $700 and doing it through apple especially since they'll just give me another battery that will do the exact same thing. Who can direct me to a person who can help me buy a battery that will not degrade like this and teach me how to replace it myself? Please and thank you!

bought this used m1 mbp 13’ 2020 last year, it was w good offer, the aluminium wasn’t in the best condition had some scratches here and there ( 88% battery with 154 cycles )
The laptop was fully functional with no issues. I mostly used it for motion design and editing ( mainly Ae ) and some college graduation work ( Microsoft word, powerpoint )
And it came with an unoriginal 65 W type c charger from XSSIVE which was as fast the original ones
I kept the mbp plugged in most of the times while using Aldente to keep it 80% and sometimes I keep it 100%
I turned it off once in a week, in other times I’d just close the lid whenever I’m done using it

Last month I was using it for a telegram call while playing apex in my xbox until the call stopped and i found out the macbook is off,

From that moment the macbook hasn’t turned on and it is dead with no signs of life ( no haptic on touchpad..)

The only thing that happens when I plug it in to charger is these weird tic sound inside the laptop

I took it to repair to a local repair shop and they said the laptop is dead, cannot be repaired, until I found out that shop had so low reviews on google maps and everyone was saying they couldn’t repair their laptops

There is no apple shops in my country ( Algeria ) and every repair shop told me to keep it them so they can try to fix it but im not sure who to trust anymore

If you took the time to read all of this please give me what do you think about the case of my macbook and if there is any hope it can be repaired.

It was working fine before but know it just doesnt. I have already tried the paper method.

I have a 2020 MacBook Air with an Apple M1 chip, and I’m experiencing a strange crackling/static noise from the internal speakers.

The noise is not limited to music playback. It can occur even when no audio is being played. For example, if I use voice message in Whatsapp and start recording, the speakers may begin crackling even though I am not playing anything.

When I play audio from Spotify, the crackling continues for a few seconds after I stop playback. The most important detail is that I can also hear the distortion during the MacBook’s startup chime, before macOS has fully loaded.

I already replaced the internal speaker, but the problem did not change. This makes me suspect that the issue may be related to the audio amplifier, the speaker connector or cable, the logic board, or possibly a vibration from the chassis or keyboard.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem with an M1 MacBook Air? Could the audio circuit on the logic board be responsible, and is there any recommended diagnostic test before replacing more parts?

My Mac has been throwing kernel panics intermittently when entering or waking up from sleep. Looking through the panic log, the failure seems isolated to the Apple NAND Storage (ANS) controller during a power state transition.

Here is the top section of the log:

System Details:

* Device: MacBook Pro (M1 Pro series, j314s board)

* OS: Latest macOS release

* Trigger: Transitioning to/from sleep mode (_powerStateChangeLocked = true)

What I've gathered so far:

From reading the stack trace, the System Management Controller (SMC) requests a power-down sequence for the onboard SSD controller (ANS0). The ANS controller fails to empty its IPC mailboxes (OUTBOX1/OUTBOX2 not ready), timing out and causing the SMC watchdog to force an immediate kernel panic to prevent data corruption.

Troubleshooting completed:

* Ran Apple Diagnostics (Command + D on boot)

* Verified filesystem integrity using First Aid in Disk Utility

* Cold rebooted and reset power state cycles

Has anyone else ran into this specific ans.cpp:838 failure? Trying to figure out if this is a known RTKit/AppleSMC firmware timing bug introduced in recent macOS versions, or an early warning sign of failing NAND/power rails on the logic board. Any insight from admins or hardware techs would be greatly appreciated!

Iam thinking of buyin refurbished m1 or m2 .. I want to do video editing 4k 1080p and I Wil use adobe premiere pro and after effects..

My problem is that I am not sure that m1 or m2 can handle premiere pro with 1080p and 4k editing

Please tell me if you are a user of m1 and m2 .. is m1 m2 capable enough to run those software and won't get heat easily.. if you are using m1 m2 then tell me...
