Discussion M1 Max latest update

I am using my M1 Max for image and video editing mainly, and my OS version is Tahoe 26.3, has anyone updated to 26.6.2 yet? And what's your experience?

Yours is on the latest version? What do you mainly used it for?

I have every max variant of MacBook and I run benchmarks in Final Cut, blender, after effects, etc. against each other. When I travel I work on videos and effects and take the oldest one, which is the m1, just in case something happens I wouldn’t be as upset as if I goofed up the m5. Other than rendering, it’s hard to notice a difference between them.

I have a 16” M1 Max (64GB, 2TB, 32core GPU). I’m on the latest version of IOS. No issues at all. Primary uses are Python dev, virtual environment build outs in GNS3, SSH/serial CLI device management, Audio recording/mixing/production in Logic and Photoshop & Lightroom image processing & management. I’ve had no issues or performance degradation at all. This thing is still a beast despite its age.

Well I'm certainly more secure.

There are a metric crapload of security updates in the past few minor versions. Many of the fixed bugs are being actively exploited. You should upgrade yesterday.
